I'm a bit late but I'm declaring at either £347 or £392.50 as I don't know where I was keeping track most accurately. Probably the higher one. I'm well chuffed either way though 'cos I came in under my £300 budget!1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -
Just added my last batch of receipts to my spreadsheet, and it's not a pretty picture.
Set myself a budget of £203.50 for April knowing I'd be hard pressed to stick within it. Have ended up with a monthly spend of £281.76
Still £85.20 in credit for the year to date, but not looking good for staying within budget in May either
'Category' number crunching done again
as a percentage of my spend for the month, in January I spent 26.85% (£42.57) on junk/treats, 6.07% (£9.62) on fruit, 19.47% (£30.87) on veg, and 47.6% (£75.46) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 25.54%/£40.49) - total spend = £158.52
as a percentage of my spend for the month, in February I spent 10.42% (£15.47) on junk/treats, 7.08% (£10.52) on fruit, 9.23% (£13.70) on veg, and 73.27% (£108.80) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 16.31%/£24.22) - total spend = £148.49
as a percentage of my spend for the month, in March I spent 7.97% (£12.64) on junk/treats, 11.04% (£17.51) on fruit, 15.74% (£24.97) on veg, and 65.25% (£103.52) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 26.78%/£42.48) - total spend (before deducting £14.11 of vouchers) = £158.64
as a percentage of my spend for the month, in April I spent 18.09% (£54.08) on junk/treats, 9.84% (£29.41) on fruit, 11.23% (£33.56) on veg, and 60.84% (£181.85) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 21.07%/£62.97) - total spend (before deducting £17.14 of vouchers) = £298.90
Expected to see the 'junk' creep up a bit due to taking crisps, cakes and such away when I had my GDs, but really took my eye off the ball as I didn't realised it had shot up quite as much as it didThere again, it does also include £11 that was really presents that I didn't have anywhere else to account for. (A quick scan actually shows almost ALL the junk spend was holiday related.)

Very late in declaring...everyone is probably in May now, so this is for my benefit really. Just got back from holiday in Barcelona, so ready to get back in the swing of things.
Anyway - final spends are:
£0.25 in Mr S on the 25th April (part paid with Nectar points)
£1.25 in CoOp on the 27th April
£0.40 in Mr S on the 27th April (part paid with Nectar points)
£1.90 in Iceland on the 28th April

finally totted up april, £435 well over budget but once again freezers and cupboard fit to bust. Will go over to the may thread to post on there. I may need to do some shopping from the cupboards to limit spends. Husband is really struggling at work due to impending redundacy and just wants to throw in the towel which is a bit scary. Im trying to get him to hold out till the end but whether he will or not is hard to tellGrocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000
