Well, last day of this month's GC for me. Haven't updated the sig for a while but I went about £18 over budget, which really wasn't bad as I had set it extremely low. Had fun using up everything in the cupboards ad freezer though and got lots of brill ideas, :D

Thanks guys, and see you in May

We spent £24.34 yesterday so we are £2.51 under budget for the month, yay.

    April total £137.49/140
    2 adults groceries: June £35.79/£200
    # 3 - Saving for Xmas 2015 £1 a day. £122/£365

  • Spent £4.04 in Aldi on salad, cucumber, apples, cream and a packet of licorice allsorts that must have jumped in to my basket by themselves.

So that's me done for April. I can declare at £195.82 for the month, just under my £200 target, less than half of what I was spending on groceries for the three of us and the dog, without thinking about it a few months ago.

Thank you for all the help for me to do that x

Wow, for 3+dog thats brilliant - any tips?

Declaring £386.53/£350, so an overspend of £36.53, finishing with a NSD. Not happy as i upped the amount this month due to birthdays and half term, and still went over. This month i am trying not to get roped into deals and coupons unless i actually need them. I am another food hoarder, and would like to become the opposite.

Tea tonight was Jamaican chicken, green beans and sweet potato chips which was lovely.

  • This was my first month. I'm £13 overspent, but I'm really working to an annual rather than monthly budget. I've saved about £70 on my usual spend, so thanks to all of you for keeping me on the straight and narrow!

    Now for May!

  • I came under budget this month i aimed for £200 as I've previously been spending around £250 - £300 a month far too much. I need to aim to spend about £25 a week if i want to save some cash for holiday.

My total spend for the month was £160.38. I'm gonna aim to spend £150 next month.

Thank you, do you think? I'm thinking we could go a fair bit lower :) I have surprised myself, I think we are eating better than we were before, I've just lost a long post I'd written with some tips, £&@"!? phone, I will pop back tomorrow and list some things we have changed again. I can bore for England on the subject, one thing I would say though is that although toiletries and cleaning stuff are included in this, I've cut right down to use up what we have xxx

Declaring 62.82 out of a budget of £100

Looking back at some of my purchases I can see some of them I have not needed this month. In May I only want to buy what I will be using during the month.
