Declaring for April, nothing left on my Asda cards now, Fully stocked for May as I am finding it increasing difficult to see and shopping is deffinitely a chore now.

Made my quiche and it was lovely, I used half a pot of cottage cheese as it needed using up. First time I have done this as usually use grated cheddar but will do this again as so very tasty and a lot less calories.

Also I replaced " my gone to the big scrapyard in the sky Breadmaker" with a Panasonic bought on ebay, oh My what a difference, perfect crusty bread for the first time.

Seem to have done some spending last few days but tomorrow will be a NSD so am going to declare at £187.28 - under budget by £32.72
Good luck to everyone for May.

Tea tonight was Chinese chicken, salad, coleslaw and wedges.

    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Declaring for April. Spent a bit more than I hoped for, but still within budget at 328.94. Had a big shop at farmers market and super market on Saturday, but other days were NSD so am quite pleased.

Will now subscribe to the May challenge, but not sure how much lower I can set my budget. Used lunch card quite often so that will need topping up quicker than last month. Also, I think that I still want to feel comfortable with our budget, without feeling that we're scrimping on quality. I started the GC to be more aware of how much we were spending, and to see whethet we could spend it a bit more sensible. So far, we've brought it down from close to £450 to less than £350 so I think that if we eventually end up around £300, I'm already more than pleased. Think I'll set the mark halfway for May, so I'd better pop over there!

    See you there!

Spent £4.04 in Aldi on salad, cucumber, apples, cream and a packet of licorice allsorts that must have jumped in to my basket by themselves.

So that's me done for April. I can declare at £195.82 for the month, just under my £200 target, less than half of what I was spending on groceries for the three of us and the dog, without thinking about it a few months ago.

Thank you for all the help for me to do that x
