Sounds like he is just having fun, messaging and dating different people at the moment. I don't think there is much you can do, the ball is in his court, and to be honest if a guy hadn't come back to me after 3 weeks I wouldn't hold my breath he was going to. Feels a shame when we meet someone we like doesn't it.
I there is any doubt about him being a trainee surgeon, then I think (? happy to be corrected!) you can check out his GMC registration status on the GMC website.0 -
Are you sure he didn't say Tree Surgeon ? unless of course he's been branching outI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

Another vote for 'just messing about for kicks' I'm afraid. There's a lot of it out there, not just in internet dating but anything social that's internet based. It's so easy to make a show of interest or commitment when it's all just text on a screen.0

Thing is we don't know what the OP's profession is, I'm not sure why there is importance of the subject being a trainee surgeon, surgeons 'rule' the area' just as Captains would.
basis for a long term relationship can often be influenced by geography , ethnicity, social background and other variables, although we do get Prince(ss) /pauper situations they occur more rarely.0 -
Hi
Thanks for the replies. On Sarah who presents property programmes website a friend has to put you on there, so I doubt he'd find a friend to lie about his career. I'm sure none of mine would.
Lol, I did check out his GMC registration status :-/ and although I only know his first name, there appears to be someone who graduated from the right Uni at the same time as he would have.
I'm a scientist, so we're not a million miles apart in terms of career.
Thanks
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

Could just be a few mates having a laugh, who would verify that they were all friends and telling the truth ? Everything you read on an internet dating site needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.0 -
Not sure I understand that, but trainee surgeon or trainee nursing, in the end, the facts remain: You exchanged some emails, suddenly went quiet for....2 weeks. You chased him, offered him to go on a date, and his response his that he will let you know rather than 'yes, sounds great, when are you free' and three weeks later, he still hasn't let you know... but is on another site. So really no contact from him in 5 weeks but a very short and polite response to your offer of a date.
Of course he is not interested
I know it is confusing when you'd seemed to have clicked, but again, there might be many reasons, of which, you might have said something to him that seemed harmless to you, but which sent alarms bells to him because of who he is.
In any case, it's been now three weeks since you've given him the opportunity to meet, it is definitely time to move on.0 -

May be he thought you were the fantasist and he really wants to settle down with a quiet woman from the SAS?You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
I don't think there's any reason to assume he isn't telling the truth, there are lots off young male junior docs out there who haven't got the social skills required to meet women in real life, and contrary to popular belief nurses aren't usually desperate to hook a doctor!
I agree with j.e.j, I don't think he's lying or married but I'm afraid I don't think he's interested. I'd just let it go and move on to other possibilities.0
