Pretty fab day today after being told I looked fab by my all my female colleagues for wearing a dress today at work and how much it suited it me! Not bad for a sale bargain from last year I almost regretted buying.

Also maintained for the 5th week at my target weight which is good going despite being told I need to eat today I'm eating well and healthily along with some treats of course!

    Hi Everyone

Glorious day here - managed a little sit in the garden, but only about 15 minutes. Never mind - got a bit of Vit D: Was going to light the chiminea and sit out this evening but a bit of a cool wind so will leave it for now.

Went for the dreaded Cancer Smear this morning. Not pleasant but I think that, despite all the moaning that you hear about the NHS, we are very lucky to have these health checks for free.

Ladies - do get yourselves checked out regularly. Regular health checks are a part of fabbing too. It's not all about a spray of perfume and a slick of lippy.;)

We make sure our families get regular check ups - so don't forget yourselves.

    Lecture over:rotfl:

    Surveyor instructed - fingers crossed.

I'm having plenty of rest at the moment and upping the F&V. Sleep is a bit hit and miss but hopefully once the dust settles with mum and dad things will improve.

Very Sorry to hear about your back, nurse it gently.

    Don't forget Fab Friday tomorrow.

    G'night X

Meh, store mirrors. Are they designed deliberately to make you look your worst :( bought some clothes yesterday and in typical fashion the clothes from one store that fit ranged from a size 14 to a 16. In one store. Can they not size everything the same or something?!

    WW enjoy the fling :D:D

Maman I second your comments :T

Store mirrors are awful!!! I hate them - its the lighting and the very close up view. At home you'd stand a few feet away from the mirror but in the shop you're more or less on top of it:mad:
Always depressing whatever size or shape you are....

Fling is still going very well - may be a bit too much info but I'm exhausted!! In a very good way! Get me, the Lolita of the North!!:rotfl:

Just back from a good walk and a little drinky with 2 friends and dogs - nice to get a bit of warm sunshine and a good old gossip.

Not sure what the weekend holds yet - need to get some exercise (not that type!) and sort the back garden but other than that no big plans.
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.
    xx

Today's fabness has been 4 x 1hr dog walks and a 6 mile run so feeling a little tired but not too much.

Also did nearly all the cleaning leaving just a tiny bit for Sunday, washing done and dried on the line.

New shorter haircut which is very nice for me and I like it being above my jawline.

Dog also neat and tidy after a morning at the groomers and he's now sleeping his walks off!

Tomorrow off to visit mum and just thinking about a nice fab outfit to wear - have 3 to choose from and also will take my bargain mint green handbag bought in the sale in the deep midwinter!

Have a good weekend everyone and its been pretty warm here especially as I felt quite crispy when I got back from my run this evening!

Morning all! Get some food down you Sparkles!

Weighed this morning and have lost 2 more lbs!:j:j I've made no real "diet" effort, I'm just not thinking much about food these days. I eat a breakfast bar in the morning (as I have always done), usually 4 pieces of fruit for lunch and something as an evening meal and seem to have cut out snacks without trying to. I'm now just 1/2lb to 1lb off my lowest ever weight again. :) I wore a suit dress that I bought ages ago for Fab Friday (with a matching jacket) and have only worn once before and I actually looked slim - caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror while in work and had to look again as it looked ok!

I didn't have much planned for today but The Fling rang last night to ask if I wanted to see him this afternoon (he's out tonight with a friend) so that's something to look forward to.

Got a few things to do too - mowing the back "lawn", tidying round the garden, food shopping, bit of laundry and mayve a teeny bit of DIY if the sun doesn't come out. If it does I'll be found flopped in the back garden topping up the tan.:)

Hope everyone gets some good weather and enjoys the weekend.

Forgive me husband for I have sinned. Spent more money on clothes :o

Capri trousers (they say red, mine are def more orange)

And the most lovely summer dress. Had to buy a 16 (which for me is usual because due to being apple shaped up top is normally bigger. Cold be vanity sizing but who care, gonna take it at face value :j)

My mum has shortened a maxi dress I bought last year which I had completely forgotten about so I think my summer wardrobe is complete. For now ;) :rotfl: just need the lovely weather to continue so I can wear it all :)

WW hey that still counts as exercise you know ;):rotfl:

Sparkles 4 x 1hr dog walks?! How do you fit it all in, AND a run to boot!

    Good morning all

Hi Whichway - welcome. Sorry you'll have to ask the techies how to subscribe - I'm hopeless.....

WW - still losing weight?? Must be all the erhem "exercise" :rotfl:

Bitsy - fab clothes purchases. Don't feel guilty - you are soooooooooooo worth it. :D Quite like Sainsbobs stuff, reasonable prices and pretty good quality on the whole.

Successful day yesterday. Found a nice nursing home - unfortunately I have a nasty feeling that the "top-up" might be a bit steep. Couldn't get a straight answer but the person I spoke to said to make sure we negotiate. Great - my dad dad or sister won't be able to do that so I guess I'll just have to the bad girl again whilst I do some hard nosed negotiating. My dad will consider it "unseemly". He is one of those people who think it is beneath his dignity to haggle or even mention the word discount. He thinks it's vulgar to discuss money. He won't say that if I save him some dosh!!!!!

Next week will be another round of Social Services meetings, assessments etc and I have to wade through Dad's finances and paperwork before I can get SS in to do the financial side of things. Should be fun:eek::eek:

Dad has also been given an appt to see his consultant, with all his recent test results. I'm doubting that it will be good news - either the lung cancer is back or it has colonised other areas of his body.

From what I can gather he is severely anaemic at best.

On the plus side, we are progressing steadily with house purchase, everyone instructed, mortgage applied for, awaiting the survey now.

Today it's lovely and after yesterdays driveathon around half the county viewing nursing homes, visiting OH I am having a little potter - in the garden - in the kitchen and working my way through a week's worth of mail and correspondence.

Going to sit and write next weeks to do list. Will be a long one:(

Fab wise, my skin is soooo dry and itchy. Face ok, mainly my legs so have decided not to bathe every single day. Not as bad as it sounds I do wash :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I don't smell - honest!!!

I'm going to make up some of my own body oil and bath oils - just grapeseed oil and a nice fragranced essential oil, with some added Vit E.

I'm wondering if I'm developing allergies to some of the chemicals that are used in commercial potions or maybe it's just an age thing. Mature skin is definitely more delicate and needs extra TLC.

    Have a fab weekend. X

Certainly have eaten more today taking me 500kcals over my current kcal allowance with choccie and choccie eclair.

Fabbed up today wearing a dress I wore once last year so it was nice to wear it in the sunshine and warmth rather than the miserable weather from last year.

Feeling a bit run down with a cold for some strange reason so instead of my longest run planned for tomorrow will just do the short one if I feel up to it - no need to overdo it with everything that I've got on now. Tomorrow will do 2hrs for study too in the afternoon
