Fab start to the day here - a long dog walk, a run and a garden sweep up. Jusr having a little coffee break watching the F1 qualifying now.
What else do I have planned? Oh yes! Looking for some new cheap economical meals to fit into my meal planning and get that food shopping budget down somewhat.
Hope everyone has a fab day and, if its not a completely fab day, I hope some of the day is FAB for youfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well, its pouring with rain - managed to get the dog round the park before it started so at least thats done. I reserved a lawnmower at Argos but then forgot to take the number with me - good job really as I won't be mowing today and have had a rethink - I think I'll get the gardener to come and sort it out and under control and then just keep on top of it myself. I have a streaming nose and itchy eyes already and its raining! Flipping hayfever
But I have been to the local shops to do the weekly shop in an effort to not spend a fortune on stuff in Tescos that I don't really need and to force me to cook proper food rather than shove something processed in the oven/microwave.
Spent £23 including dog food (which came to £5) so not too bad and have lots of lovely fresh stuff. A small vanilla slice leapt into the bag at Greggs whilst buying bread but a girl's got have a treat!:o Will save it for tonight when watching a film.
So, it looks like its indoor activities (not those types!:rotfl:) for me today instead. Looking forward to being pummelled too...0 -
Hello I hope you're all well?! And happy birthday Lizzie for yesterday!
I popped in this thread a few months ago, but life really went a bit haywire so I kept dropping on and off this website! I've decided it's about time I kick started my healthiness and beauty regime before summer catches up with me!
I'm currently sat here with coconut oil in my hair as I've had a bit of a dry scalp lately, so I'm hoping this will nourish it! I also bought myself a new day cream today with SPF15 in it ready for the summer. I'm hoping to have a good old pampering day today as I have so many toiletries and products I haven't used up. A manicure this evening is definitely on the cards too!0 -
Welcome back ALJA!
Been for the massage and feel like a new woman. The therapist is Eastern European and very good and speaks her mind - apparently I have toxic calves from standing too much and am retaining water.:rotfl:
Going to have a think about some other treatments I can have to rejuvenate me. I look different - more relaxed and "clean" if that makes sense.
Good food and plenty of sleep will do me the world of good too - I'm going for a nice long walk with the dog later for some fresh air and a bit of gentle exercise and then tomorrow will go for hard swim to stretch everything out again and get the old heart going.
I forgot what it feels like to be stress free and have a bit of time to myself - nice isn't it?0 -
Afternoon everyone
Backsliding LL  never
Been a funny old week. Had offer on the house, which we rejected but have managed to negotiate a price everyone is happy with. Am waiting for it all to go tits upand house is still on market as buyer is sorting out proof of funding etc. All seems a bit surreal for some reason and my head has been all over the place
Anyway after busy morning (another viewing) and shoe shopping for kids I've come home, done some yoga, about to repaint my toe nails and give my fingernails a much needed manicure.
The weather is doing my head in. Felt like autumn this morning  have been back in my winter bootssun is out now but we've had rain on and off all day. Please get warmer!!! I want to wear my ballet flats and nice sandals.
Lizzie belated happy birthday  sorry to hear about DDs rat, issues with OH etc hope WA can give you the right support x have you considered maybe a bike and a little trailer for your decorating venture. Even if it was an old trailer (the sort that you can tow kids in) least it means you could get about with your own tools etc in tow.
LL hang in there xxx I personally won't have Botox but I dug out of storage my Eva Fraser facial workout book. If I can look as good as her it's worth itI don't think she started doing it in her 30's or anything, may have even been her 60's so it's never too late to start.
WW glad things have calmed down for you xx I've never in my life had a massageI need to rectify this.
ALJA welcome back to the threadhope coconut oil worked.
Hope everyone else is OK, hugs and high fives all roundI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Having another lazy day today ..... That's Monday this week and today! I can remember the last time had two days in the same week lol
Again thoroughly enjoying being lazyaltho truth is I'm so tired that I lack the motivation to do anything else. Watching a box set with DH and just made myself some fresh green juice to make myself feel better rather than going to gym lol!
I got zangora shorts to review so I'm wearing them lying watching tv ha! I'm not hoping for miracles just hoping they help my cellulite a bit along with body brushing and exercise during week.
The eating better/gym/body brushing combo works for me so hoping shorts just boost that a little...
Hope everyone is having a great weekend whatever your up to ..0 -
Thanks for all your birthday wishes.:D We had a lovely meal apart from the usual H making silly comments. He called me a pr*ck during the meal but instead of letting him get away with it I told him not to speak to me like that ( I am doing this a lot atm - not sure if it's the right approach). DD2 enjoyed herself and although still upset, is not tearfull now. We are concentrating on giving the rat we have left plenty of attention. She also has the horse to concentrate on as this one she is helping with seems to be working out really well.
The owner has really taught her a lot and in return DD2 helps her out seeing to the horse when she can't. DD1 has got a job. :j So we have some good news. We nipped for a quick drink with her and some of her friends after, H didn't want to go but I did so instead of letting him get his way I said we would go for a quick one.
I have been impatient with H the last few days and I'm not goingto jump to his tune anymore.
The plan for today is to get my volunteer form filled in and sent off.
Have also decided to adopt flylady's habit for the month idea -mine is to go to bed earlier for the rest of this month- the idea is if you do it for a month it becomes a habit. I need to catch up on some sleep -this last week has left me feeling drained.
good luck with the house Bitsy hope it goes your way. I have Eva's book and dvd not done it for ages though.
WW and LL -if you feel the need to have scientific intervention and can afford it I'd say go for it. I think it's only those that take things too far that give it a bad name. Small adjustments done correctly can do wonders to give you a boost. It wouldn't be for me though (even if I could afford it - I hate needles) :rotfl:

Hi everyone
So much for me keeping up with this thread while I'm off work.
Hugs to all that need them, lots seemed to have happened on here since the last time I was on.
And well done to all those in good places or turning their lives around.
I would like some advice (if you don't mind) I am over weight and have battled for ages, but sitting around recuperating is not helping with my weight, boredom is also a huge factor, I have very little energy and not meant to be doing too much, so its mainly sitting, watching tv or reading.
I would like to join either weight watchers or slimming world and go to classes, I feel that if I am eating better, then my recovery will also be quicker. My husband, however thinks I should wait a few more weeks till I am better and able to get out and about abit more. He feels that I've been through so much this year already that putting pressure on myself to lose weight will be too much.
Your advice will be very welcome xxx

Lizzie well done for sticking up for yourself. No need to get into an argument with OH but definitely leave him to paddle his own canoe. Don't let his decisions affect yours. Do your own thing and leave him to it
congrats to DD1 getting a job :T
Sweet cheeks are the shorts supposed to work while exercising or just from wearing them?
Been swimming with the kids, managed a few laps. Forgot how much I enjoy swimming when pool is quiet

I went out for a 6 mile run this morning - went very well although very steady and a quick time. Not bothered about the time as it's a while since I ran that far - onwards and upwards from here I go over the next few weeks!
Also usual long weekend dog walk first thing this morning.
Had a nice restful morning after that to recover! So its time I got on with the studying while the grand prix is on - aim for 2hrs I thinkfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
