Fed up and skint ... I'm going to try and do the same as you and try have no spend days as I want to pay a few things before holiday and end the year in +++ rather than ---
So no shopping - sale or otherwise
No excessive food shopping
No coffee's n 'extra' treats ( I have things to last me this week at work)
I reckon that if I could rain it in as much as is humanly possible for two months then I will allow myself a couple of treats as badly need new clothes and sales will be on then!
I must stop my magazine buying too... Ah it's only £2/3 quid ... Over a month tho it fairly adds up. Most of the time it just makes you want stuff or feel inadequate anyway.
Going to the gym ( rather than wasting membership ) and pamper treatments at home are called for I think...
Gutted I missed no excuse Tuesday but that's what happens when you don't click in for few days I suppose... ! Happy pampering ladies and hugs to those who need it!0 -
Well No Excuse Tuesday went well.
I managed some yoga, but my tummy has been in knots most of the day and still some residual chest pain. I've not really felt like eating so have just snacked - but healthy snacks.
Drank lots of water and slept, and slept and slept.....
WW - well done with your proposed promotion - sounds like a done deal;)
Sweetcheeks - does your local library stock magazines. I get my magazine fix that way.
I think No Spend Days are a good idea, it's so easy to pop to the shops for a "few bits" - and before you know it you've spent another £20 on nothing.....
I know we are all trying to be frugal but I think we need to allow ourselves the odd treat now and then.....
That's my excuse:rotfl:0 -
Ooh LL I never thought of library.... Good idea. I used to go to borders and read magazines while drinking a coffee but hey maybe that's why they went into administration as everyone was doing that?! Lol!
WW that's great news about the job and promotion fingers crossed for youxx
LL listen to your body and nurture yourself with baths/ walks/ yoga and nice foods and of course naps if you need too0 -
LL- would the 5;2 diet be approprate for you? I know it isn't for everyone and the weight comes off fairly slowly but it's the first thing that's worked for me. I probably don't stick to it as rigidly as I should but I'm now about a pound away from what I want to be. It's become part of my routine and when I get to the weight I want to be I'll cut it down to one day a week and see how i go.
pp- good luck with the interview
WW- well done on the proposed promotion.
Well done everyone on no excuses Tuesday
Hewie- sorry to hear about your uncle.
Have done some business card and leaflets for one business and they shoud come in the net week or so. Still need to do some for the other and the websites- struggling with this bit but I'll manage it- all new to me although I'm not bad on the computer I'm no expert. (not helped by the fact that letters are missing from the keyboard and the mouse has now stopped working:eek:)
Awful weather here but have plenty to keep me occupied.
hugs to all who need them - have a good day xFrump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Evening all!
Good day so far - feel much less bloated and flatter round the belly area. Went for a very brisk 45 min walk after work and food has been ok apart from a few digestives -will count them in the cals though.
The promotion is getting more definite by the day - more info on it today - so that's all positive.:j
Its Thursday tomorrow so downhill to the weekend...0 -
WW - I'm feeling a little less bloated and flatter too - we must be doing something right!.
Mind - I have a looooong road to travel. Managing to do some yoga and some basic physio stretches. Not attempted anything more strenuous just yet, still suffered chest pains last night so taking it very gently. Still nursing my tummy and back. What a wreck.:rotfl:
Good news about the promotion - keep us posted.
Dentist this morning:eek:
I have a viewing booked for a bungalow tomorrow and the boys have a house viewing booked for Saturday.
Lizzie - I did try the 5:2 diet and got on well with it. I think I might give it a whirl again. At the moment I'm just concentrating of eating healthily - not counting calories for anything - just cutting out the rubbish.
The sun is shining - hopefully it's going to be a nice day.0 -
Good morning, the sun is out here in West Mids
Tuesdays fast was an epic failso doing it today and possibly squeeze in a other day before the end of the week.
I do really well and then kids come home and want snacks and this it, the urge to eat kicks inonly solution is to make the kids go hungry :rotfl:
Ordered myself some nice new tops online, some summer clothes looking a bit tatty. I do wish t shirts wouldn't shrink so much or go out of shape. Most annoying.
Anyway have got stuck into house fabbing today, off to meet friend for coffee and baby cuddles this aft so that will be fabbing for the soul
WW promotion? Keep us posted :T
LL baby steps remember xx hope viewing goes well x
Lizzie could you maybe try on Freecycle/Freegle for new mouse and keyboard? If you don't ask you don't get x
Hugs and high fives all round xI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Well had to cancel the dentist at the last minute - my poor old tum is turning somersaults again. We are now in the 4th day so I guessed what the problem was.
Had a quick chat with GP who confirmed what I had suspected - campylobacter. Dodgy chicken last Thursday. So need to try and avoid contact with folk for a few days.
So I can expect another 2 weeks before I feel my old self again. On the positive side I should lose a little weight:rotfl::rotfl:
Measured myself this morning and have already lost 2 inches from my waist - thought I felt less bloated.
Managed a short whizz round the shops - daren't stay away from the house for too long;) Popped my head round the chazza shops, picked up a nice cotton striped summer weight dressing gown and a pretty cream silky pashmina type shawl embroided with flowers £6 the two.
I feel wiped out now so am going to have a little rest, then tackle the ironing and get the hoover out.
Rock'n'roll. :rotfl:
Bitsy - just keep trying hun. You've got a lot on your plate, baby cuddles sound nice.0 -

:eek::eek: I had that when I was in university from a quiche of all things - I'm a veggie so it was a bit of a mystery to the environmental health people. I thought I was dying - exploding from both ends for days on end. My boyfriend at the time had to take poo samples to the hospital every day for weeks to be tested for me and I was under house arrest until I had three days of uninfected poo. Not pleasant at all (but I did lose almost a stone in about 2 weeks!).
Its Thursday so nearly the weekend :j And only one more week to half term :j:j
Its my school do tomorrow evening to celebrate the Ofsted rating so should be a good night out. My gay best friend is giving me a lift there so at least its one taxi fare saved.
Will do my nails tonight and maybe a face scrub and general tidy up.
It was pay day yesterday so will spend a bit of time sorting out the finances tonight.
Not much else to report really - just another day at work followed by dog walking and more work tonight.
Must find something for Fab Friday tonight....0 -
 LL I confess I had to google what you've got but no wonder you feel so terrible. Speedy get well vibes xxx
WW enjoy your night out tomorrow :beer:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
