So sorry to hear of your loss PP *hugs*
I didn't realise you all did a "Fab Friday" ...I've been so out of touch of this website & thread! However, I did have a fab evening on Friday as I went out with friends, so I actually wore a little bit of eyeshadow, my favourite perfume, a dress and some heels! So that's much more fab than I usually am!
This weekend consisted of me buying a few little summer wardrobe treats, so I'm excited about being able to wear those at some point and I'm determined to feel fab in them!
Decluttering my bedroom this evening - little by little I've been doing this and it's looking so much neater already. Think I'll have a bit of a pamper in a minute, I'm thinking...face scrub, face mask, foot soak, foot moisturising and I may even take my current nail polish on and pop a new colour on for the week!
Bit by bit doing these extra fabby things is helping me feel better about myself, alongside a bit more exercise recently too - I have quite a bit of weight I wish to shift!
Stay fab! x0 -
Hello Lovely Ladies
Well pleased to say - I'm now finally back in the land of the living, felt rough for a few days but fine now.
Viewed a fab little house with the boys, going to put an offer in tomorrow.
Spent yesterday with the boys helping Dad do some sorting out. He shouted at me but was fine with the boys........I didn't take it personally.
OH has started the first stage of his drug therapy. Is it my imagination or did he seem a bit brighter today. Whoah there, don't get too excited yet. However, when I first got there he came out with a sentence that I actually understood.
I have recently started a new regime with him. On the days he seems strong enough I am making him do a few simple physio exercises. Seizing the moment today I started him on a few speech exercises.
He got tired very quickly and could only manage a couple of attempts. It's a start. I don't know if my input is going to help but maybe it's worth a try.
Been a lovely day here.
Maman - enjoy your mini break. Today the countryside looked glorious - blossoms everywhere.
WW - your "dalliance" sounds fun!!!! Of course you've still got it......
I like to think we all have - it's just sometimes we forget where we've put it:rotfl::rotfl:
But hey, that's what this thread is about. Finding our mojo's, getting our lives back and re-discovering our inner Diva's.
ALJA - You sound like you are doing really well on the fabbing front. A few summer treats sounds like a great idea.
This is my plan for tomorrow. I intend to go clothes shopping. I'm afraid I fell into the trap of thinking I won't buy anything until I've lost some weight. Therefore I've not bought anything and my wardrobe is looking rather threadbare.
Well I've decided to try a different tactic. I'm going to buy a few nice bits and pieces to give myself a "boost". Hopefully it will help motivate me. I won't spend too much, just a few inexpensive bits and pieces to give me a few basics.
I did a wardrobe audit. I have a lot of clothes I can't get into at the moment so I've put them to one side and have concentrated on what fits me right now and what I need to fill the gaps and make up say 6 nice basic outfits. Then a bit of mixing and matching, a few different accessories to ring the changes. Hopefully that will stretch out the basics and make it seem that I have a good wardrobe.
I have a few jackets, a couple of cardigans, a couple of tops that are still reasonable, white jeans, blue denim jeans, brown denim jeans and grey trousers. So I need a pair of cream or beige trousers, a couple of pairs of cropped jeans or trousers for when it is hot, a denim blue coloured cardigan, some white tops, some t-shirts and new bras.
That will do me. Then when I've lost weight and gone down a couple of sizes I have a large hamper full of goodies I will be able to wear again.......
This time I think I will be successful. I don't know how or why but my head feels right this time.0 -
Hi all
Pod - sending hugs and wonderful things, hope you're ok.
I've had a tooth out this morning, so look like a demented hamster on one side of my face. Manicure is still on, and looking lovely, toes need re-doing after I picked up black nail varnish so have one black toenail...so flattering!
I also have a job interview tomorrow, its a perm job instead of constantly temping, and the wages are great.
I'm 7 lb down in 2 weeks, only another 4 stone to go lol!0 -
LL - glad you are feeling better
PP- ((hugs)) sorry about your Nan. Thinking of you and your family. x
Maman- funnily enough have been looking at loads of dresses over the weekend. I quite like the idea of a maxi dress but finding one that's not too low, too expensive or in my size is proving quite hard. Am planning on a trip to meadowhell net week for a look round.
Hi everyone else hope you are all ok.
Not much to report except DD2 is ill again!! and school are on my case. Not sure what I can do about it have been to drs and she has tablets again so hopefully that will prove it's genuine.
My flyers and business cards have arrived so wll be finding places to put/give them out in the next few days.
my last OU assignment is due in the net couple of weeks too so need to work on that and choose my next course.
enjoy your day xFrump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

I had been playing around with some nail varnish combos on my toes, so have one foot in shiny glittery white and the other a nudey pink colour. I forgot all about it until I needed to take shoes and socks off at yoga!!
I'm just in maintenance mode really but people have started to take notice and making cheeky comments about my clothes and appearance and asking if I am going for job interviews. :rotfl:
A major turning point I felt last week: I had left the house in the morning, got into my car and something didn't feel right - I had forgotten to put moisturiser on my face. Ordinarily I wouldn't have noticed, far less turned around and to go back indoors for it.Mortgage
Start January 2017: $268,012

Good morning ladies - just a quickie.
Dom sorry about the tooth, hope it's not too painful. :j:j re the weight loss.
Lizzie - hope your DD is ok. Sounds like you are making good progress with your business cards etc. Keep going.....
All's well here. Decided not to put an offer on that little house - it's a repossession and it's just too damn complicated and risky. I'm not prepared to go into a bidding war and risk losing good money on surveys and local searches - which is what I foresee happening so we have decided not to bother.
Houses are a bit like buses, miss one and there will be another in 15 minutes....
Went to Ne*t yesterday to buy a gift voucher for DS2's birthday this week - had a quick look for me - saw a couple of possible tops but didn't actually put my hand in my pocket.
I'm getting to be such a miser. I'm so used to charity shop prices that I begrudge paying £30 for a top that I only "sort of" like. I don't mind paying for something I really love and am lusting after but not for a "it'll do" stopgap.
Today off to see OH and then an Ald* shop to stock up on F&V and healthy stuff.
Right time to get cracking, some yoga and then a face mask but first a quick tidy up. The place looks like a bombs hit - I spent last evening going through my finances and there are papers and clutter everywhere.
Another grey miserable day here.0 -
Morning all,
Thanks for the kind wishes, it does mean a lot x Still waiting to hear on a date for the funeral, apparently because she passed over the weekend it was a locum doctor who saw her and needs to be her/the homes official doctor before they can sign things off so my dad was waiting for them to get back to him. Thinking will probably be Tues next week as guessing won't be anything on the bank holiday.
maman - hope you have a lovely break x
ALJA - nice to see you back and yay on the summer wardrobe buys, I'm in short sleeves this week but weather is very undecided so still on my coat with the hood!
LL - fingers crossed OH starts showing some signs of improvement. It's a shame on the house, but as you say there's never a shortage of them up for sale it's just waiting for the right one.
Lizzie - hoping you get some responses from your flyers, are these for the decorating? hope dd feels better soon, she does seem to get everything, bless her - is it worth maybe trying her with a vitamin supplement? I have a vit c and iron one and I do think it's helped a bit with the number of bugs I come down with.
Anyways, on a half day today as I have another interview this afternoon so fingers crossed as I could really do with getting something in place - less than 6 weeks until I leave here! My replacement has been here a few weeks now and tbh I may be a little biased but I'm not sure how well she's going to do when I leave :rotfl:She's getting frazzled and confused with the very minor things I'm showing her already and doesn't seem interested in actually stepping up and taking things over. Ah well, I guess it's not my problem they're the ones who hired her!
Hope everyone is having a good day x0 -

Weelllll, ladies gossip alert! - there has been a repeat performance - I have definitely found my mojo again and at the moment am quite the goddess :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
A bit of male attention has done me the world of good
Its only a casual thing but we get on well and enjoy each other's company (if you know what I mean!) What a wanton hussy!
I obviously just needed a bit of a kick start!
Pod - how did the interview go?
LL - a good plan with the clothes shopping and house hunting. Hope OH's is continuing to show small improvements.
Kiwi - things are definitely on the up if people are commenting - you go girl!
Right, better get on with the titivating - this girl's got to make the effort these days.....:rotfl:0 -
WW way to go :T:T
you might be single but that doesn't mean you are dead from the neck down
Pod teach your replacement as much as you can. If she can't do the job or doesn't show much interest that's no longer your problem. You never know they might realise their mistake in not accommodating your request and ask you to go back. Believe it or not the place where my H was made redundant from I officially approached him about going back  thankfully he wasnt tempted :rotfl:
LL very wise to think twice before buying, no point parting with £30 unless you really love it
Lizzie hope you can get a good response from the flyers x hope DD is better soon x
Dom hope you're feeling better after trip to the dentist x
Kiwisaver :rotfl: at the different coloured toenails on each feet. Just think of it as being "kooky" :rotfl:
ALJA summer treats sound like a great idea
Not much fabbing here, had a busy day mooching at fabrics, coffee, cheesecake and <whispers> a donut toostill fast day tomorrow and I may squeeze a third one in on Friday if I have the inclination. Both my kids have snotty noses and my glands feel "up" so hope I am not catching the lurgy.
Does Asd* do vanity sizing? I ordered some tops in the next size down and they are stretchy fabric but they fit nice. Not sure whether I have lost weight (despite the scales saying otherwise) or whether they are wrongly labelled.
Hugs and high fives all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
WW - you shameless hussy you......:rotfl: You go girl.
Well I bought a top - £3 charity shop. Last of the big spenders, me.
Pod - any news???
Early (ish) night for me.0
