I'm starting to detest management-speak
Sounds like time to start playing bullsh*t bingo...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I don't think I have ever seen an application from anyone describing themselves as chaotic, regularly misses deadlines, sensitive and fragile inclined to outbursts when busy. No time for new ideas as they never work anyway.0 -
It was under 1k for the three of us for two cars. OH did the research and the phone call that secured it. Result!
Do we use brand names on the thread? A maritime-themed agency not to far from the valleys did the honours. The phone call was the key- all the online quotes were ridiculous even using the comparison sites.
That's.....less than our insurance is; mine was £999.13, and OH's was £110x.xx, and I managed to sweet talk HSBC to £1000 on the nose.
That may be something to do with the fact I've got a clean license for the first time in as long as I can remember, thoughchewmylegoff wrote: »Plus Phil Mitchell driving a range rover in East Enders. Shameless product placement.
We're walking adverts for Jaguar-Land Rover, and although we've had a few minor problems, they're British built, so I certainly would consider both again.

I emailed a 4th cousin once, he replied with the whole family tree dating back to 1820. I lost interest once someone else had done the work.PasturesNew wrote: »Every new piece of information, though, yields new mysteries and potentially new places to visit.lemonjelly wrote: »In the Rhonnda (sp?) valley the main road is so obviously an old railway track I kept expecting to see trains come round the corner!
Why not go back beyond 1820?
o
By the time you go as far back as 1820, we are in Russia or Poland, which makes the search more difficult. (Either the part of then Russia that is now Poland or vice versa, I can never remember which way round).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. So is mine, but apparently discriminating in favour of women is now banned in insurance circles, even if allowed amongst the NP.
BTW we have left SF and are in the national park. No phone signal but decent wifi. Quite sad to see the number of tramps living rough in SF.
Unmanned petrol stations in California: swipe credit card and meant to enter zip code. No zip code = no gas. Scared moment when you worry where the nearest manned station is.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My insurance this year was £198, fully comp and protected. Car is now old and not worth a great deal, but is not in a low insurance group. That was after the pro-women discrimination change came in, so was pleasantly surprised as it was the lowest it has been for years. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Visited a couple of times, decades ago. Gorgeous city; you can soon see how everybody keeps living there despite the geological threats. Transport's good, there's some amazing parks and museums, and the whole place has tons of charm. Would recommend everybody that visit the US to see it, so you don't come away with the impression every city's the same. We did a three point tour of the country; Boston, SF and New Orleans.
There was a big street called Market which had an area full of mainly war veterans begging for money. Like you say, pretty depressing.
Never saw the point in visiting LA. Looks an utterly charmless place. You quickly realise why most US tourists come to European cities, not the European countryside.
Enjoy the rest of the trip. It's tipping it down here! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I was up north in bath and we had HEAVY rain, (I was watching from the hospital open door) came home and its still heavy. Thunder and lightening.
Its burst through the roof over the new bathroom, in through the open windows in the new bathroom and probably most distressingly has come in through the CLOSED WINDOWS in the room below the new bathroom, As if a hose was pouring in.....the dogs were shut in there and were horrified!
That sounds bad!
I was fuelling up in Chippenham yesterday, put the fuel in, reached for purse and the heavens opened, it wasn't rain, but a waterfall! Just getting from forecourt to kiosk I was drenched in the space of ten steps.I'm starting to detest management-speak
Rebel. Everyone else secretly wants to speak normally - be a leader and use sensible words.:D
@Bertie, nice to see you around again.
@michaels - you mentioned Lainston House - I can cofirm it is as nice as ever. Two blissful days there, shame about having to come home!0
