Right, pills.....the pharmacy are going to put them into a counted out thing for me, like GDb. commanded. :). Are you pleased GDb? They will swap pill boxes every four weeks.when I get new pills I can go in with my pill box if I want and they will do it, or they will give me enough till the end of the month and just start the next month (that's what I'll do I think).

The central office were really helpful and super apologetic and proactive. They understood I wasn't trying to make trouble just resolve an issue.

Very sensible. Flood risk is not worth gambling on, IMO. I remember about 7 years ago going to a party in somebody's garden where all of us guests commented enviously how idyllic it was to have the river at the bottom of the garden. We weren't saying that the following year when she had several feet of water in her house. She's letting it and renting somewhere else now - can't bear to live in it for fear it happens again, and can't sell it for the foreseeable future because the flood comes up on searches.

The farm we stayed on near Marbella was flooded when they had disastrous floods in that area. They were not hit too badly, although they lost a lot of fruit trees, but some people were killed. The floodwater built up behind a bridge, and when that collapsed a wall of water came down the valley. The water level rose 10 feet in a few minutes and then subsided equally quickly.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

LIR, I'm absolutely delighted if the new system works for you. Well done for sticking up for yourself and trying to find a constructive solution to the problem.

I'm also delighted that I did not water the garden, as it's pelting down outside! :)

What if after you've nominated me I refuse to start the thread in protest at your discriminatory ladies first policy. The NP thread will be left in limbo forever!

We'll give you ten minutes then move on. :). Something like that. Like all 'bad boy' men chewy, sensible women might love you but won't sacrifice their future to your mendicant ways.

Well, I'm very south of you and it's not rained today. Sunny right now, with blue skies ... but breezy and cool.

Ruddy freezing here now. I'm going to need two duvets tonight.

Its burst through the roof over the new bathroom, in through the open windows in the new bathroom and probably most distressingly has come in through the CLOSED WINDOWS in the room below the new bathroom, As if a hose was pouring in.....the dogs were shut in there and were horrified!

    :(:(:(

    Starting?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I did a project management online course this afternoon. I had to do the assessment 4 times to pass, and resorted to cheating (looking up answers on the internet). I don't think I'm cut out for that kind of thing!

Go on, spill. Give us some examples of what you are having to put up with.

The most beautiful light in the sky here....a sort of golden grey.

Who can ever get bored when there is sky to look at.
