I've just realised - exactly a year ago I was sat in a hotel about 10 miles from here finishing off some slides and trying not to work myself up into a frenzy before the interview for my now job
The last 12 months have gone very quickly indeed.0 -
I got a random delivery of half a weeks pills this evening.

Yes to clotted cream, but the jam goes on first.
Living out of suitcases has its moment, because unpacking is such a fag. Now judging hotels by the quality if the provided toiletries.
Currently in a hotel that claims to be so, so green, yet they are right at the edge of the national park, so quite a few redwoods were chopped to create this place. But Americans don't do irony!
Hysterically posh alert, "your bed has been made up with goose down feathers, if that is not to your choosing let us know and we can provide alternatives." Job: Yes
House: working on it (have been told I've managed to prove my ID to the bank who I've banked with since I was a toddler, heard from valuers today, and got first set of paperwork from solicitor today too, next thing is to sort out a surveyor)
Happy: YesSlightly stressed out at times, but generally fine.
I've got a month left for the other thing. I'm trying, but I don't think I'm going to make it. We shall see.0 -

What a great 12 (and 24) months you have had Nikster.
We are waiting to hear on our remortgage, passed the credit check on Saturday, valuation etc no doubt will be this week or next.
We have also become local hate figures over our building plot plans, 'evil money grabbing developers' in a 5 page nimby diatribe from a property I thought wasn't really impacted, however highways have given the green light which was a main concern so it is looking quietly hopeful, despite 7 complaints there don't seem to have been any planning issues raised.I think....0 -

I'm not sure about 24 months, but its been a great deal better since jacking everything in and moving back to parents just under 18 months ago. All the gritting teeth and pushing through uncomfortable choices/ situations seems to have turned out fairly well so far. I just hope it continues a little longer!
Fingers crossed that all your planning stuff goes ok. I'm glad I don't have anything like that to worry about on top of everything else.0 -

That's what I meant even if I got the timing slightly wrong - compared to where you were 24 months ago you are a great lesson to all of us that isn't impossible to change things for the better.
What happened to the summer?I think....0 -

What happened to the summer?
It's due back with us again soon.
Whereas I'm still in the same place I was 30 months ago.0 -

That middle point is the important bit.;)

Good luck.
Clotted cream yes. Crust- you jest.
Got to alternate polar/non-polar layers to keep the lavours/textures separate. Bread = dry carbs then non-polar dairy then jam = moist carbs. So cream below jam unless butter's available.
Who'm I kidding. As before, put it in a blender and give me a straw.:jThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
