There aren't any little people on the other side - I'm cross-examining 6 Immigration Officers!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

You'll send them packing NDG.
Well, I'm sitting in bed having walked the dogs, checked the ponies, done the birds and taken DH to the station.
I am looking at sachet number one and steeling myself for a ten o clock start.
I'm.....optimistic.
Like a good and well practised patient I removed all my nail varnish yesterday even though its a minor outpatient procedure (be prepared) and so have a nail file out so I can spend some time today tidying up my tootsies and finger nails.
I might even try a face mask.
If I am stuck by the bathroom there is no need to mope but might as well turn the day into a rather extreme spa experience.
I have an army of scented candles lined up and will be drinking my extreme [STRIKE]laxative[/STRIKE] colonic irrigation out of a crystal tumbler.
If you have to do these things, do them in style, right?0 -
What's nail varnish got to do with being a patient?
Hope you're OK, LIR....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I'm fine, I'm jolly. Nikkster's advice makes me feel throuroughly relaxed.. Tbh, I'm just quite curious. Not looking forward to a Day on the loo, I'm mobile now, but if my back or knew go its not great and I'll just have to stay there with a book
(Edit. The way I see it this is something almost every body has to do at some point, I'm just ahead of the age curve.....)
Nail varnish has to be removed for anesthetists, Its one thing if there is an emergency in a and e, another if you know you are going in and can prep for ' worst case scenario'. They check circulation via nail beds and the pulse monitor goes on your finger nail too..
Apparently quite a fe apoplectic get their nails done before going in as inpatients and then get handed nail polish remover once they are in.0 -

You will be gorgeous at the end of the day, obviously:D...only thing is when I had to spend the day near a loo before a procedure, noone was taking much notice of my face and it would take several months to impact on the cellulite:o0 -

There is a thread about hating Americanises in the marriages board ATM. I don't, obviously, but I do hate the American censor on the forum software.
I'll see my face and I have been thinking of this period of time as prolonged intermittent fast.
Fwiw, anyone else doing it, the horror stories about the taste of the stuff are exaggerated. No, I would n't order it in a bar. But it's better than a lot of things I've been served in people's homes. Drinking it with a straw gets it past most of the taste buds anyway.0 -
Have you ever had those sachets of stuff for cystitis? The horrible taste of that can't be exaggerated, it's foul....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Yes, they are.....also .better than some stuff I've been given in some people's homes.
But also better than cystitis.0 -
That's how you know you've got cystitis, if drinking it seems worth it.
You visit some very odd homes, have to say!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
NDG, after day 1, they'll be more scared of you, than you are of them! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
