We have an electronic scale that measures in grams. About £8 iirc.
I've got a scale.... but I'd not go out and buy food, then come home to weigh it all, to see how much 80grams was so I could do a 5-a-day. Too much hard work.

Haha, do said in the feed room. I asked why. We could I suppose.....

I'm just not sure why we would. Dh says it might be good to watch the news on. (He only watched the news under duress so he is buttering me up)

So, doing 5-a-day is an impossible task for you then. Everyone can see that now you've explained it so logically. :p
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

All I am saying is that if they cut to the chase and showed photos of how big is a portion for each item.... people'd see that it is achievable if you want it to be. I always thought that by the time I'd had 5 portions of fruit/veg there'd be no calories left over for "proper food" :)

    Now I discover a portion's quite small.

For any NPs who like music mixes (like the Trip or Late NIght Tales) and don't want to spend on Spotify can I recommend you try www.we7.com !

I've been enjoying the Public Service Broadcasting album this week.
They create all the music themselves, but all the "vocals" are cuts from old public service information films. Each track has a theme (eg the postal service, road safety/speed limits and so on).

    Very good stuff!

We have a big ugly tv I hate. It's the size of a fiat 500 or something and heavier. :D

Anyway, we are furniture shuffling for the nice builder again this weekend and had to move the massive tv and dh said.....I never, ever want to move this again and yet its the tv that gets moved most often.

    I'm off out to Argos.

Now we have a new smaller very light tv (hurrah) but cannot decide what to do with the very big old one. The Study or Free to collect?

Guest room? As you're likely to spend less time in there personally, then you'll move it a lot less?

Little bit of progress starting to appear...
One thing is certain, I'll definitely have carrots this autumn.
The carrots planted out straight into the ground are starting to develop. Spent an age weeding around them today.
The cucumbers are getting stronger & starting to get bigger.
2nd batch of toms kicking in now, & will need repotting in a week.
Planted out about 20 beetroot into the ground this evening.
First lettuce will be brought in for eating over the wekend. More will instantly be planted!
I also used lots of my home made compost from the comoster for some of the bigger tubs with carrots/beetroot in them, & onions & a few other things. In those tubs there has been sproutage of something which I had no idea what they were. Have realised they are extra tomatoes. I'll be repotting them over the weekend. Looks like there are so many I'll be giving em away somewhere.
Project weeding in the back has been completed (for a couple of weeks at least!) This is good news, as the composters have been full to brimming every time I manage to shove the latest lot in.

Forgot to mention that last weekend, I went for an eye test. It's been just over 2 years, so I felt it needed doing, though my glasses feel fine.
When I last changed lenses, the change to my eyesight was small, so I only got 1 new pair of glasses. I didn't bother replacing the sunglasses, as they were in good nick, & I was also being MSE.

Sunglasses now look a little tatty. Could've pushed it with them another year I guess, but I suppose I partially facy a change.

So, had eye test. Eyes have worsened a little.

Decided on the new sunglasses. As both eyes have changed a little, decided to replace the lenses in my current glasses frames too.

    £450.

I'm still  a week later....
