LiR, I didn't really want to comment about the relationship stuff, since I don't really know you (outside this thread) but it seems to me FiR is just being a man. He wants you to be happy, because he loves you, and when he hears that you are unhappy he tries to offer you solutions to 'fix it' because that is what men are supposed to do for the people they love.
It's okay that you are unhappy right now. It's perfectly normal for someone faced with the things you are faced with to be unhappy. That will change too, given time, but at the moment you are unhappy.
This, He only wants me to be happy. Exactly, trying to fix things.
This too will pass, eh? Yeah, I think you're right, Still sucks, huh?:D.0 -
Hop onto my couch pleez.
Is thees madness?, you vill ask. No my dearrrrrrr lady. Thees sounds more like unnecessary guilt. Perhaps you veel that you should be a suprhuman vooman who can do everyzing indoors, outdoors .... & bake ze cake, too.
Zis is not possible my dearrrrrr.
Maybe the monkey was laughing like a person because it was thoroughly enjoying the attention? Oh & it was probably ticklish, too:D0 -
I had a similar moment yesterday. Someone mentioned going to the zoo, and before I could stop it I said 'oh, I love the zoo'. Then immediately thought 'I love looking at the different animals and running around like an over-excited child, but I feel really sad when the animals look under-stimulated and unhappy. I managed not to blurt that bit out thankfully. But I did spend the next 5 minutes (when I was supposed to be concentrating on something else) feeling bad that I'd said I liked the zoo.
We're going to the zoo soon. I can deal with zoos. Enrichment and captivity aren"t so bad. But even though in my heart of hearts I want a tiny monkey, I could never do it, be responsible for a baby being taken from its mother, dressed in a diamant! collar and reared in an unnatural way FOR NO REASON. It's not just the monkey, but its poor mother. Monkeys are not cats or dogs.0 -

. But I have a feeling if if I hadn't got sick that probably stops solving things as you get older:D.
Tonight is a night to crawl under the duvet with a packet of crisps! I'm not under a duvet (yet), but I have broken my 'fast' day with a lot of hula hoops and some very sugary butter toffee popcorn. Oops.0 -

I do really enjoy going to the zoo, but ever since I excitedly went a few years ago and saw some lions (I think) who looked really not happy I've felt bad. One of my favourite places to visit is the London Aquarium (Finding Nemo has a lot to answer for), but even that made me feel quite guilty.0 -

I told myself that a lot. That and 'just keep swimming' (like Dory in Finding Nemo).0
