With having little time to get quotes from various companies we are having the same local company that moved us into this Bungalow four years ago to call on Tuesday to discuss details so we will find out then the true costings, they are the same company that will be moving the new people in because they only live a few miles away.

Had the Solicitor on the 'phone a few minutes ago telling us that the Contracts have been signed by the buyer and now we have to go down and sign the contract when my OH gets home from her Church meeting at 2pm, so it is all go.:)

I think you should get the storage quote before exchanging contracts, as it might affect your decision.

Of course, it might not be ruinously expensive, but then pigs might fly. Watch out for the cost of insurance, as the storage places tend to make a killing out of that, so you need a quote including insurance.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Book of Mormon have tickets available for Amex holders. I could get tickets for March, though limited availability so not the best seats.

I'll let the booker know that one! Thanks.

Many thanks for your comments... My OH has some unfinished business to complete in our area before we 'fly the nest' and we have found a Caravan site not far from the house that will have found a very well equipped 'van on a weeky hire of £250pw or £800pm this sounds great because they are fully fitted out with everything for us. It is not booked as yet needs confimation from the OH but I'm sure that she will be delighted.:)
Nice one. You'll have space in there at least. No faffing about with council tax, bills and annoying stuff either.

So, do you wonder what knickers the women you work in the same building as are wearing? I doubt it...people just get on with things generally. (Fwiw I am not matching today, and wearing a not great crop top style bra (dusky pink, knickers coordinate and are floral, but do not match) because I am having a physio session today for which I find underwires bras less comfortable as I get rolled around and manoeuvred.

I don't think of it to that level of detail...:o;)

Well that's my point, no one does.....about anyone else than themselves or a partner. I'll discuss knickers for half an afternoon with friends, but never think 'wonder what they are wearing'. Yet most of us are wearing something. It's nothing to get hot under the collar about unless they are being worn FOR you. :)

My body feels good now, all normally soft and flexible. I wish i could have massage or physio every day. :). I have been advised to try and walk slightly pigeon toed till next session That's going to be tough, but I can see why, and feel the difference it's making.

Is it still snowing in midlands? We are ok here. Cold but dry. Going to tidy some stuff and see if I can put potatoes in tomorrow.

We've not really had much snow since the downpouring of last thursday/friday. There have been light dustings since, but little other than that.

Problem is, there has been no thawing at all - I assume because of the wind coming from the east. So what fell has been shifted about, trodden down, & is frozen solid. For example, the footpaths are all blimmin lethal around here!

Like you, it is cold (feels close to/below freezing) and is dry. There's no moisture about (it is all frozen everywhere).

I turned the garden, & it is now covered with snow. I'm leaving it at least until it melts.
Here the ground is frozen. When it thaws its still too wet to work.

Not sure whether the ground here is totally frozen (seems strange that) but when I walk on grass, there seems to be a lot of give underfoot.

My worry is that it appears there are another 2 weeks until the tempterature is going to change.

I got moaned at last year, as every windowsill in the house had seed trays on, & it is messy & inconvenient. I want to avoid that this year, but it is nearly april, & I don't want to leave it too long until I plant stuff.
