Good luck with the move Bertie when it finally happens. I think renting sounds rather pleasant when you can view it as a temporary break.
Many thanks for your comments... My OH has some unfinished business to complete in our area before we 'fly the nest' and we have found a Caravan site not far from the house that will have found a very well equipped 'van on a weeky hire of £250pw or £800pm this sounds great because they are fully fitted out with everything for us. It is not booked as yet needs confimation from the OH but I'm sure that she will be delighted.:)0 -
I know the feeling - things start so well as far as conversations go and then degenerate to discussing poo. Frequently.
I shall divert my thoughts to a comfortable close to a happy life, but in the meantime, lets hope she gets to feel the sun on her back and gets a springin her step. I have a dog nearly 15 now and he has slowed down a lot in the last fortnight, I'm hoping spring will perk him up. And one of the others spent the night at the vets with breathing difficulties, she's undegoing investgations this morning. We don't seem to be having a lot of luck with our collective animals at the moment.
.
Regrettably I have had to be involved in PTS a lot. This is the very hardest one. It's easier with a dog, even our big ones, as it can be possible to get them into the car and somewhere at short notice, with a horse that reaches the same point you do not have that option, and vets tend to be further away. My very, very excellent vets are at least forty five minutes away, in the middle of the night allowing them time to get out of bed and get the message from the message handling company etc we're looking at least an hour, maybe more. And there is so little you can do in the mean time to help. I am coming to terms with the fact that in all like
Y hood it will be ' a day too soon' when I make the decision, and its hard with this particular horse because she is some what 'feral' at heart. With old girl the decision was easy, and helped by the fact we were both with her.
Anyway, que sera sera, I just have to dance the dance as the music plays it now.
Meanwhile..........I wonder what my next horse will go by online?0 -

One of my clients has lived in a caravan after some erm, financial complications, and they have really enjoyed the last three years. Certainly less space to keep clean!
lir, I have friends with horses and having a dog PTS seems a lot more pleasant than having a horse PTS, even in the most controlled of circumstances.
Re the Book of mormon, I think a group of us may head down one day to see that, obviously not for a while if it's booked up until July. In the meantime, if you get to the chance to see a play called Hope, currently at the Royal Court in Liverpool, don't. None of us had any idea what it was about, including those who didn't do what I did and read through the second half. Should have looked at the reviews first.0 -

You need to check what the cost is of putting all your furniture into storage. That can be very expensive. My son was looking at a sort of left luggage locker for his gear in Edinburgh, and that came to £25 a month for something not much bigger than a couple of suitcases! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Presumably it's assumed a large percentage of the people we all talk to wear underwear of some sort?
I'd be the one that would be a jibbering mess in the corner...:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

So, do you wonder what knickers the women you work in the same building as are wearing? I doubt it...people just get on with things generally. (Fwiw I am not matching today, and wearing a not great crop top style bra (dusky pink, knickers coordinate and are floral, but do not match) because I am having a physio session today for which I find underwires bras less comfortable as I get rolled around and manoeuvred.0 -

Mine don't even match in colour today, let alone in pattern! Mind you, neither do my socks......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Book of Mormon have tickets available for Amex holders. I could get tickets for March, though limited availability so not the best seats.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. With having little time to get quotes from various companies we are having the same local company that moved us into this Bungalow four years ago to call on Tuesday to discuss details so we will find out then the true costings, they are the same company that will be moving the new people in because they only live a few miles away.
Had the Solicitor on the 'phone a few minutes ago telling us that the Contracts have been signed by the buyer and now we have to go down and sign the contract when my OH gets home from her Church meeting at 2pm, so it is all go.:)0
