    I've been Money Tipped!
I hate the smell of wood worm treatment....but we are about to retreat some furniture because I hate the idea of woodworm coming back more.

Its actually quite pretty here this morning. Frozen of course, but the light is clear and its still so it's a relief from the biting wind. I can see some heavy cloud over the big hill, with no sky behind it, so I guess it's going to get warmer again, but wet. :(

No rush viva. Whenever you're ready. I appreciate the gesture.
On books, as gardening looks unlikely this weekend I am planning on tidying my bookshelves & putting away all the books I've read in recent times.

Is it still snowing in midlands? We are ok here. Cold but dry. Going to tidy some stuff and see if I can put potatoes in tomorrow.

It's actually sunny here this morning!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I've no idea how big your car is .... but I'd suggest that you'll keep finding "one more thing" and run out of space. Think about hiring a car like a Citroen Berlingo/Partner or Renault Kagoo.
Easy to load, big square back, side sliding doors. Easy to get stuff in and out. No awkward sloping sides.

If you've already got one of those.... then it might be an idea to hire a small van.

Worth the cost for the hassle-free day.

We are very fortunate to have a daughter that is, at most, very organised when you give her a little prod with a cattle rod, in that on her last visit about three weeks ago we got her to pack much of her 'stuff into boxes ready for this occasion so we will gather everything together and decide whether we will maybe hire a van for the day, as you thoughfully suggested to make life easier if the boxes and the 'extras do not fit in our Mazda which with the back seats folded down do have quite a lot of deceptive space available.:)

We are much the same here at the moment at almost 4C.

I wonder if any NP's could advise me as to what they recommend that I should purchase that would allow me to have a constant mobile connection to the internet, in order for me to be able to view Rightmove in the search for a property at any time.

I think I asked a similar question before so please excuse me but at the moment my brain is a little fuddled with what has happened over the last week.:(

I was told by a gardener friend of mine that the soil temperature had to be 5C for any germination to take place. Preperation to allow the ground to breath he said was important but you will probably be aware of these points. Just thought that it may be helpful.:)

At home we have a huge poop scooper and how and where best for disposing of poop is a hot topic.:o

I know the feeling - things start so well as far as conversations go and then degenerate to discussing poo. Frequently.

I shall divert my thoughts to a comfortable close to a happy life, but in the meantime, lets hope she gets to feel the sun on her back and gets a springin her step. I have a dog nearly 15 now and he has slowed down a lot in the last fortnight, I'm hoping spring will perk him up. And one of the others spent the night at the vets with breathing difficulties, she's undegoing investgations this morning. We don't seem to be having a lot of luck with our collective animals at the moment.

Good luck with the move Bertie when it finally happens. I think renting sounds rather pleasant when you can view it as a temporary break.

Yep = much more pleasant this morning, some sunshine, less wind - still brass monkeys tho but I think we will lose the last of our snowcover today whch feels a bit sad, especially as there is no spring warmth on offer. Perhaps the gulf stream has broken down?
    I think....
