Yup. We've had her into our bed 3 times in 10 days complaining about it.

I didn't bring the alcohol aversion up. I'm not that worried about it: drinking less is good and I'm pretty pleased that I've effectively stopped drinking on work nights.

My guess is that it's more stress related than anything else anyway. I am 100% open with my GP about how much I drink BTW, I'm not hiding anything as ultimately you might as well not bother with doctors as lie to them.
    .

I don't drink, don't smoke, and don't do any drugs.

When I tell doctors that, they often don't believe it.

I don't drink, don't smoke and don't do drugs too. But by 'eck do I do chocolate.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Nice one! A shame you couldn't get 2 tickets :(

We could get a ticket, but I have work commitments then so I can't go.

Anywhere or anything local you'd recommend CK? He'll be coming from Copenhagen.

Can I ask a couple of questions:

Is the Eurovision Song Contest on soon?

    Who is going to win?

Edit: Silly me. I should have looked it up instead of asking - so, it's 18 May. That just leaves who's going to win?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    This is me too. :D

I don't often come across others who don't drink. So a special wave to viva and tomterm. :hello: Does the NPT have a higher than average concentration of us?

My driving is all in little bits, but lots of them. I don't hate driving or anything like that, but I would hate to have to clock up the numbers of hours that people like CK and Hamish find unremarkable, or at least not on a regular basis.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

When's he coming? That'll affect my answer!

If he's driving from Copenhagen, over the bridge is gorgeous!

    Who wants a bet here?

Denmark, Norway, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia will be top 5, in that order!

No, I don't know, no, it's not rigged, and no, the juries haven't even voted yet (and I'm not on a jury, as I'm not allowed).

I watched the Denmark video. Quite a nice tune, but they ran out of lyrics after writing the first verse and just repeated pretty much the same words endlessly - plus she keeps singing 'only teardrops' with a big smile on her face, which seems ridiculously incongruous.

    That's the best?

Besides which, "only teardrops" is hardly an answer to all those questions beginning "how many times?", and her dress reminds me of our recent discussion about CK wearing a towel. She probably has quite a decent figure underneath it, but IMO it does nothing for her. I liked the penny whistle, or whatever it was, though.

Most contracts now state that your hours are whatever is necessary to achieve the objectives and complete the tasks as required of you by the boss, or the company, or anybody else.

They will state the office hours, but, generally, I've always turned up early, worked through lunch, stayed late and put in all the extra hours needed to complete the ever increasing tasks they give you.
