Well it was 22C today and will drop to 13C tonight. It was -6C this morning at Goulburn which is a couple of hours from here. That is one of the reasons why I don't live in Goulburn.

Hmm - if my first chore of he day was poo picking I think I would struggle even more to wake up.

LIR I am wandering if you find warmth a problem - was it last 'summer' you didn't feel great? Perhaps you are not self regulating for higher temperatures very well?

Poo picking is alright really. It's out in the fresh air, its not very heavy work (it is for dh who has to empty the picked poop but not for me) and its with the dogs and horses.

This time of year early in the morning it's actually a really lovely job.

I do find temperature regulation hard (no metabolism you see :() and i have never much liked being over hot...when you are cold you can put more clothes on or do more, but when its hot your options are limitedbut I am still not warm. By hands are like ice, dh keeps borrowing them for his sunburn :D. I am in a summer dress today because its meant to be hot. And I am wearing a big pink floppy sun hat to protect my face front he sun. Yesterday ever inch was covered bar hands, face (but had a hat) and a little patch on top of foot wear daps didn't meet the bottom of trousers. :o.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Private school word wars. Some schools insist on daps others on plimsolls. Afai recall all my schools were plimsoll schools, but the nieces were at a daps school when they lived with me. I guess it stuck. :D

I think if its not a word you feel strongly about you just roll with the school on it.

I am about to try making a no added sugar and fat free flapjack recipe. Hmmm, Usually I am an advocate of just doing without, but I am looking for something summery to have for breakfast instead of porridge.

Put in a 'sighting' offer on development property about 8% below asking price but got instantly knocked back. Agent said higher offers had been rejected and hinted an offer 2.5% below would get it but it is all profit forgone so I need a tactic....
    I think....

    Find another one?

IF 8% below asking knocks off all your profit, it sounds tight to start with.
