Still not sure what's been wrong with my legs... which is improving (slowly), but ongoing.... and, after today's 1.5 mile walk my feet have flared up again and the soles of both are itchy as hell.... looks like walking's out of the question this year then.

Not been back to the Drs since last Sep/Oct as I got stung for £22 of stuff to fix it then ... and can't go splashing that sort of cash out on more meds that don't work. Total spend on various creams/solutions so far's approaching £100. Currently using the cream I got last Sep/Oct, plus some medicated talc I was given to try 4 months ago by a sibling.

Does the being-eaten-by-little-fish thing help? Has he tried that?

He hasn't . I did and they were either full up already or useless for normal skin!

    Hay fever tablet......

Piriton is a brand name, the supermarket ones with same drug ( chlorphenamine) are fine too.

They do make you sleepy but also get rid of itch. I was also advised by a chemist to take an alarming dose for my eye infection. I am blas! about dosages and most safety indeces and I was shocked!

I rarely wear shoes - I only leave the house about once a week .... the problem is because I walked for 1.5 miles today and it's irritated what were dry soles.... dry/leathery since they 'healed' a few months back and hadn't given me any trouble until today.

Not sure what hot wash means.....

    LOL

Mrs McTavish [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] was a farm girl, that woman is queen of the whole "use by dates are advisory, rather than compulsory" routine.

    Especially with anything cured.

And she can peel a sheep like nobody's business, which may be useful in a post-Armageddon apocalypse scenario.... Or if Zombies take over the world.... Or if we ever buy a farm and go for the self-sufficient country living routine.

Top tip: If for tea you're having rice pudding and jam.... open the jam jar before you open the can of rice pudding. Can't get the soddin' jar open. Tried everything, both hands crippled with pain from trying ..... so no jam for me :(

    Rubber gloves are your friend!

Sam once completely failed to open a jar of pickled gherkins. So she stabbed the metal top a few times to try to break the seal. When that failed, she took them back to the shop. She said they looked at her as if she was completely insane, and she's never been given a refund so quickly, ever.

Aye, interesting woman is Mrs McT.

Grew up sheering sheep and raising livestock on the farm, did a lot of modelling in her younger years (even appeared in Vogue), and is now a Regional Ops Manager for a multinational.

So rather more versatile, talented, and better looking than me then. :D
