I treat myself regularly. This week it's my favourite pack of 3 mini cheesecakes from Lidl, 99p. They're the best ones I've had (of anybody's range that costs up to 35p/pot).

I hate breaking news where you can't dig out more than the inadequate first reports tell you .... even logged onto the police media website for this one and found very little.

Two dead in Padstow Harbour after speedboat went out of control.

It'll have been utterly bunged down there today. Thousands would have witnessed it, sitting there watching their ice creams as it happened in front of them.... you'd think journalists would have been a bit more "all over the situation" by now.

Hmm - that wouldn't be very often for us - twice a year at most although now having reduced our income cos of the child benefit thing it may be a lot less often.

It's working out a little more frequent than once a year for us, but it's symbolic as much as anything else. It's a milestone, a tick in the box. It focuses the mind on the task at hand. Plus it's nice to celebrate every so often.

Dh has been topless in the garden all day. He is now burnt. I warned him. Several times.

It's really good for him to get loads of sun exposure unlike the rest of us ( psoriasis ) and its amazing how dramatically it responds....what was livid on friday evening is pale, much harder to see now, but the burn is stupid.

Does Dead Sea stuff help him? A friend of my mother's has it, and the Dead Sea mud does wonders for his skin.

Men are stupid about sun burn in general, IME. Except my Dad, who covers up at the sight of a single ray of sunshine, which is just as well, as he has that Welsh / Celtic red-head freckly skin that burns very easily indeed.

My first class I didn't know how far it'd go, or what the process was and we only had 7g, so I made a textured tube pendant, two tiny earrings and something else (I forget what).

The main problems are: access to courses and affordability. I want to do some mould-making.... slowly collecting stuff towards that and will get some materials and teach myself that bit.

I've never done a course, I just bought some and got on with it. Much more fun to experiment, I think. I practised quite a lot first on normal modelling clay.

Lir, didn't you try Moroccan Oil a while back? My hairdresser said that this works great on psoriasis. May be worth a try if you have some at home.

    He doesn't think it helps.

Dh rarely burns which is why being silly today is so frustrating.

Does the being-eaten-by-little-fish thing help? Has he tried that?

I just saw a taster day (3 hours) at £35 so went along. I had no room/tools for doing stuff myself, so had to do it elsewhere.
