Well, I am pretty sure I wouldn't like the idea of a bomb maker loose around where I live, or the hunt being on my street.

I am not defending the bomber. It's just a place and situation I am very glad not to me in or near.

That really is one of the great dystopia books. I love a good dystopia, me.

DAK of a really amazing one that's been written since the 1960s? There were some TV plays that were good in the 80s around nuclear war but no great books that I can think of.

Why does everybody on property programmes, looking for houses, always talk abut entertaining.... do people really spend their lives entertaining people such that it's the main reason for buying a house?

I've never been part of the group of people that do this mythical entertaining lark..... have you?

Did you say out loud "This is a lovely room for entertaining" when you looked at the house you bought??

When I am looking at houses to buy I am thinking of nothing of the sort!!

Yep, and how you entertain depends on where you live though, what we needed in London was different to what we want here. It's important to us as we develop the house, not least as much of our 'entertaining' will involve overnight stays for friends who live too far a day to do the trip in a day.

I love the idea of a shepards hut or bowtop, but not the price. For investment purposes the house improvements are better value probably. We need a bigger reception room too. :)

    Coffee continues to disappoint.

I just thought I would have a cheeky black coffee and made it and it smells so good and tastes so manky. It's a bit like being thirteen again.....wanting to like it so much.
