We live within spitting distance (quite literally I'd think, with a good following wind) of a pub which is in a Jacobean dining hall. Great winter pub but probably not going to be as good once the weather warms up. Might have to do some research into a summer pub round here.

    I like cashmere socks
That one has to be a posh alert. I didn't know they made cashmere socks. All I know about cashmere is "it's expensive/expensive things are made from it". So the thought it'd be used as socks and trodden on and shoved into trainers/boots etc means it MUST count as a posh alert :)

My socks are usually "6 pairs for £2" from anywhere I can find that sells multipacks for about that price.

They are quite nice, but they work out a lot cheaper than frostbite, :D

I don't buy either cashmere socks or silk socks. Nor cashmere jumpers, either. My darling Mama does and gives them to me (-:

We have a recently very poshified pub. It's fine but I just don't 'love' it. I annoy them when we eat there (rarely) by asking to sit in the bar, as the main dining area is a conservatory at below ground level, so you get to se the undercarriage of people's cars as they pull in. Not scenic and too bright. Inside its ok. Just a bit too chic. (Best smelling loos of anywhere I have ever been though). Our other local I like a lot, Its Teeny, tiny bar area is standing room only, so no good for me, but still, just lovely. People are often forced to sit outside year round. At least one farmer we have got to know better is always out the front and pleased to introduce us to people we haven't met. Cars go by, just like in the posh pub as its by a road, but, it just feels 'normal' like a pub should feel iykwim.

Dogs are allowed in both. But I couldn't take mine in the tiny one, did dog would be at her most defensive.

Ok, PN will love this......I have cashmere jumpers to do the horses in too. They are warm and I buy them in the bargain sales from the less fashionable catalogues...they are bought for warmth not chicness.

I recently shrink one which was really annoying until I realised it actually fits be a bit better now:)

Bracelets have never floated my boat either, nor have rings. I do like necklaces and earrings, though, and wear them most days.

I don't go out of the house without earrings on.

Usually wear a necklace, watch and bracelet. Bracelet I often take off when on a computer and have sometimes left them in offices.

I wear the same 3 rings every day: wedding and engagement ring on my left ring finger, eternity ring on my right ring finger.

I often forget to put my wedding ring on, :o. I almost never wear a watch, (perk of not being employed).
