We live within spitting distance (quite literally I'd think, with a good following wind) of a pub which is in a Jacobean dining hall. Great winter pub but probably not going to be as good once the weather warms up. Might have to do some research into a summer pub round here.
Where is "round here" for you, Almo?I don't go out of the house without earrings on.
Usually wear a necklace, watch and bracelet. Bracelet I often take off when on a computer and have sometimes left them in offices.
I wear the same 3 rings every day: wedding and engagement ring on my left ring finger, eternity ring on my right ring finger.
I used to wear wedding and engagement rings. I'd like to again one day. When I said rings don't float my boat I meant rings that are just to look pretty rather than to mean something.
I haven't worn a watch since the bar for attaching the strap broke. Everywhere I go there are clocks (every room at work) and my phone tells the time.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I only have ankle socks. No wrinkle problems that I have noticed.
As I get oedema in my left ankle/foot as the day wears on, more stretchy socks leave a corrugated impression. Silk socks don't.0 -

Far from the Kingdom of Hertfordshire I'm afraid, we're in Cheshire. We moved back to the UK after a number of years overseas and decided to move somewhere other than where we'd been before we left. We have ties in Wales, Leeds, Northamptonshire, Devon and Surrey so did well to avoid them all.

I recently shrink one which was really annoying until I realised it actually fits be a bit better now:)
Although i am not into things, alongside my silk socks I like cashmere becasue it is light and warm. My current winter coat is a cashmere Jaegar coat and I love it. It is cosy and worn pretty much everyday in winter. It must have a cost per wear of about 25p.
DD washed a lovely almost new cashmere jumper on too hot a wash - it was then child sized and felted0 -
Reminder: Don't forget the play room!
Or the dungeonWhy thank you! I actually started lurking some time ago and plucked up the courage to post a few times then but fell back into lurkerdom soon after
Don't worry, you can lurk or talk as you want, we don't mind, we are nice.PasturesNew wrote: »My socks are usually "6 pairs for £2" from anywhere I can find that sells multipacks for about that price.
Another vote for the multipacks for £2I think....0 -
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Yes, I wondered about travel costs. I haven't quite got up to speed with where everyone lives etc but seem to think there is a Westcountry contingent of sorts so thought I'd throw it out there as a possibility. Train might be an option?
I really enjoy this thread because (warning: brown nosing ahead) you are all such interesting and varied people and I'm quite often prompted to go off and google things after lurking here. That said, I can't keep up with the speed the thread moves at so dip in and out and as a result understand perhaps 50% of what's going on at any time and am likely to continue to make impractical suggestions
It may have been impractical but it was still a blooming brilliant idea....I want to go!We made it! Haha, I'd take that if I knew where she lived but I'm kind of shooting in the dark as things stand. I'm fairly good on my railway routes but not THAT good

Or the dungeon
I wouldn't mind a dungeon.
Have I mentioned here our crazy Italian landlord ahead a sort of a prison cell in his cellar? That was weird. And in dh's villa the cellar was huge, at least the size of our entire house. It was amazing. I find spaces like that really awesome.
I don't think I'd be hanging wooden frames of the walls and tethering chains though. More likely would be a subterranean swimming pool.0
