I don't think it was stupid to celebrate a twin pregnancy by buying a pram off ebay. I am sorry that you lost your little twins though and weren't able to use it yourself.
I think I would give it to a friend to sell, rather than deal with it yourself. I don;t know how much you paid for it but I would potentially factor it in to the overall cost of having children and let it go for nothing, rather than try to sell it and have it knocking about. But I'd still let a friend do the handover. (But I would try to sell it first).
All I did was get rid of the junk mail and envelopes so far.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
feeling like i got a lot done today.
table top tale this morning, didnt do well but didnt do bad either, but its still half a dozen or so items i cant bring back into the flat.
overbed unit - in place.
bed - in place.
wardrobe 1 - in place.
left to do:
wardrobe 2
go through clothes before putting them back in wardrobe.
put away books.
then i think im done for the day
and on one hand i really hope so cos my back is starting to twitch witch isnt a good sign. usually means i done soemthing i shouldnt have or i done too much, and in this particular case its probably a bit of both. but getting it done today means hubby gets to relax on at least 1 day of his weekend off this week.
apart from the back thing, im actually feeling pretty good at the moment and actually feel like i have accomplished something0 -

That is a huge difference! That will spur you on.
We are still not back in our room. DH has been busy at work as the manager is on holiday, so he is on call when he is at home, and at work a lot.
House looks like a tip but it won't take too long to put things away and tidy. I am wondering if the rain will hold off long enough to take DD to the park.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. :T Wow, Anirtak, that's a helluva improvement, you wouldn't recognise the place.
I was at the folks' for just over 24 hours, early Sat morning until late this morning, lots of charging around visiting Nan in hospital, mystery poorly car and all. Too much and too tedious to tell.
Now, Mum had turfed out a heaping linen basket of clothes since last weekend from just part of her built-in wardrobe, sort of an overhead locker bit. It's still pretty full of jumpers etc but she got rid of 50% plus found a top she didn't even remember buying. And was wearing for the first time yesterday.
This morning, we went into one of the wardrobes proper and have turfed out 44 items of clothing and 8 pairs of footwear, plus bringing some things forward into service and identifying some things suitable for a family occasion later this summer, which will mean not having to shop for something fresh. I have taken 4 large carrier bags of clothes and one of bric a brac to donate today, and have some more to go when I'm next heading that way. Mum was positively light-hearted about the flingage, too.
I have 5 tops from her that are work-approriate which I have ironed afresh and will try wearing this week. If they don't really suit, they can be laundered and off into the next donation bag. Dunno how many kilos of clothing I have shifted today but it covered a double-bed several layers deep.
Onwards and upwards, my lovelies. GQ xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Can we hope to see your mum on this thread in the future, GQ, or are we a secret? You both are doing incredibly well.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Very secret; Mum doesn't do the interweb and can barely use a computer. Two in house connected to the web, but no interest.
She's busy reading and making blankets for prem babies, alongside family stuff.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

thank you all, i will be honest have felt at a bi of a loss today. as i was taking the day to rest, after moving that big furniture. the 2 bags you can see in the picture or from going through wardrobe they are to be donated somewhere at some point. have done a few things this evening, but starting to look like im going to have to take a couple of days with my back as the slightest thing is kicking it off, as usual. but at least the heavy work is done out the way. the table is big but not entirely heavy, and hubby can probably move it on his own when the carpet is dry.
the bottom of the bedroom door looks like its going to need a shave, as its rubbing quite a bit on the new carpet.
cant believe its not even midnight and i feel ready for sleep lol. must be not doing much most of the day.
just got to keep on top of everything in there now its done.
things is i got feathers all over the place, ive changed the quilt to the old one my nan bought, but the feathers are constantly escaping, witch is why it was changed, but the new one my nan also bought, i know both are expensive, but i think i prefer getting stabbed witht he feathers and i feel so ungrateful, cos whatever the filling is, just bunches up, and the more you give it a shake to spread it out the worse it is, and if you cant get it to spread propery it feels so heavy i feel trapped under it. so im trying to figure out what the lesser of 2 evils is.
im thinking about seeing how much a quilt is and get one, but then just get the one nan bought out when she stays.
like i said i feel so ungrateful cos i know with both quilts my nan spent a lot of money, but she decided to buy the secon done cos of the feathers with teh first one after they stayed the once, cos she said she thoguth she had got the same one she had for herself where the fetahers dont escape. so bought the second one, if i could get the centyre spread on it properly with out bunching up at the slightest movement it would be fine.
thanx for all the support evey one has given over the past few weeks, will keep you update on rest of the things i need to get done. xx0 -
Can't y ou sew the duvet up with more pockets or something to reduce the bunching? Perhaps GQ will have some ideas.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
