Have decided this week that we will make the 'rich chicken casserole' from the label on the Heinz tin of tomato soup. We always have tins of soup to declutter. I don't know where they come from as we rarely choose to buy tomato soup. I was fed so much as a child that it became one of life's boring foods, along with boiled potatoes and cornflakes. I never fancy them as an adult but it surprises me how much I like them.

Nothing to do with hoarding, but what a lovely, lovely story http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2627171/The-long-queue-goodbye-Patients-wait-four-hours-bid-farewell-loved-GP-retires-32-years.html:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Well, this week I have Mon-Thur off work except for a couple of hours tomorrow. So far I haven't done as much as I thought I would have done, but the place still looks ok.
The weekend was busy,so didn't get an opportunity to start cleaning the house (usually I blitz house on Sunday).Yesterday I managed to blittz the kitchen, then got a call to say that our car is finally repaired after FIL accidentally smashed the oil sump and part of engine.£580 later.......So I interrupted my plans for the day to drive partner back to work after he bought home repaired car.Decided while I was out,and with about 2 hours to fill in before collecting kids from school, might as well do grocery shop,so I had no reason to go out today.
Today the kitchen only needed a quick clean, then I was able to tidy, dust, polish, vacuum the dining room, front room, hallway( so all downstairs)and tidy our bedroom. Also washed and hung a few loads of washing. That was all I was able to do before collecting kids from school.
Will concentrate on upstairs tomorrow.
I am itching to fill up the car with stuff and drive it to CS.With car being out of service for over a week,I was never able to get to a charity shop. There is a whole lot of stuff in the loft ready to go,and I am sure I wouldn't have to look very hard before finding some toys to donate.
I have got a small pile of papers that have crept into the house in the last week and need to be sorted. But my filing system (expanding folder in kitchen drawer) is working very well.
Keep on keeping on,people.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Now to me, Heinz cream of tomato soup with a cheese sarnie or cheese and crackers alongside is comfort food of the highest order! But the soup has to be from a tin, the sachets that they've started doing just don't taste right.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

I love soup. I used to have loads of tins in my cupboards until I bought a soup maker. One of the best things for my kitchen I have. I do make everything from scratch and used to make soup on the hob but love my soup maker so much now. Just chuck in a stock cube, whatever you want in the soup, water, press the button and leave it. Come back when it beeps 22 minutes later and perfect soup, voila!!MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

I didn't even know you could buy such a thing as a soup maker.
I got loads of washing on the line this morning, And I got some dry clothes put away. I need a clear out of my handbag later - there are lots of papers in there.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Awww,I really don't feel like doing anything! My get-up-and-go has got up and gone
. It is now 10.40am,before I collect eldest from school at 3pm,I have to go to work for 2 hours (plus abit of travel).I had great plans to finish tidying, and cleaning our bedroom, and then the 2 children's bedrooms before going to work.Instead,I have walked back from dropping kids at school, hung washing, started to put afew things away in the kitchen after the morning chaos that is school mornings, had breakfast and browsed forums while watching the news.
And I don't feel like doing anything else.
OH "tidied up" the kitchen after tea last night,so I need to finish/do that properly, and clean benches again.
Just want to curl up now and read my book.

Whitewing - loved the news item - well spotted. Its reasonably local to me too. When our local Dr retired we were all moved to a group practice - HORRENDOUS. They were very proud of the fact that you could always see a doctor the same day - shame you had to wait in the waiting room for anything up to 4 hours with everyone sniffing coughing etc. Gone to another smaller surgery with a smashing lady doctor (think a young Joyce Grenfell!!)
I always buy condensed soups to use as sauces. Chicken or Mushroom to go with leftover chicken for pies (family favourite) & tomato bunged over some shin of beef in the SC with whatever is lurking in the veg box/fridge makes a lovely casserole/stew/pie filling. MmmmmmSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
