  • Good luck TF! Listing things on eB@y will be so helpful in decluttering and re-financing. Hope you have the same luck as my DS.

DS has just got rid of an old SNES video game he hadn't played in years. Other stuff has gone too, but this was impressive, well to me it was.

The game was rare, apparently and it finally went for £122. I'm thinking of all the times I've bailed him out with emergency loans and he had that little goldmine sat there!

    :) Evening all.

Have spent part of this evening doing a Good Deed; laminating a pile of posters for a charity event someone is organising. This has meant that I have been able to consolidate two pkts of lamination pouches into one and recycle the other cardboard carton. Go, me.

Retrieving the laminator pouches brought something else out into the open; the gift which goes to a pal this weekend which means a few precious inches of cupboard have been liberated.

:o My home is so small that this is the equivalent of a whole shelf for normal people.

I have also done an errand which I have procrastinated about for months and got a rear luggage carrier on my pushbike. Which will mean that the pannier set which has been floating around since Bank Hol weekend can be strapped onto the bike and won't be under my feet.

    Feelin' good.

wow, you are all doing so well. very much stalled here, anti-inflams for back were apparently masking that I have a chest infection so off of them and onto antibiotics. mum, bless her, told me to make sure I only do the bare minimum around the house until i'm well. I know that my week of panic cleaning before state visits is about the level of her "bare minimum", so suffice to say all gone to hell in a handcart here.

junk mail through the door straight into recycling and a plant put in the ground so it doesn't die (not in the place I wanted it to be, but will suffice over the winter) - and that's it.

counting my blessings though - very glad i'm not worth 20million dollars and living in Vancouver, day-time tv is a real eye-opener - those poor "real housewives of X": not a brain cell, laughter line, or understanding of real friendship or emotion between them. thank whichever celestial supreme being you subscribe to that we don't have their problems ;)

  • How funny lobbyludd! I watched that too. Much agree.

I'd rather me than anyone of them.

me too - I'm convinced that is the premise behind the programme - because although I can't even watch game shows as it leaves me feeling uncomfortable for the contestants, I am fairly revelling in feeling superior to these women (probably doesn't make me any nicer a person, but I'm seeing the joy in my cluttered, disorganised, life).
