Hallo nanamia. This is a great thread, one of my favorites.

They are going to be nice chunky candles GreyQueen

I'm not feeling it today. DH is at home and got a real hump on him. I must push myself to throw away at least five things by the end of today to keep up the momentum. I did this a while back when I started to sort the cellar but stopped. I don't know why.

I will come back later and list what I have done.....I promise.

    Huston we have a problem.

I would appear I have been going massively over my data usage on my phone contract (don't have a computer now due to potential online shopping sprees). Anyhow, I have been surfing on here too much it seems so apologies now for not going back pages and reading or thanking posts. Untill I work out if there is a problem with my phone data usage I will only be able to look at last page when i'm not really de-richarding etc and at work.

So, hope everyone is fine and doing well.

I haven't done anything to make thing better here, in fact the opposite, decided mirror over fireplace didn't look safe so took it off and have huge mirror now across sofa, plus tool box /screw drivers on every surface due to other things too. Have decided I actually need a project manager for next few months as so many little things that need doing here it's insane to keep getting someone out to do odd things. Also going to read my DIY book and learn how to do stuff myself.

To get cupboard made in dining room is it would seen going to cost £800 at least (hair coming out of head), so at the moment will have to think about other options like a screen or curtain perhaps. So annoying as just want a cupboard to put things away, rather than using the loft, but will find a solution in the end.

Tomorrow I will tidy, and put the really boring washing away (I will put washing away...I will put washing away). Need to hoover which is a bit disappointing and dust (I don't mind dusting). For now though i'm happy switching all fairy lights on in conservatory and chilling as need time out I think.

Again hope everyone is well, i'll catch up tomorrow.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Hope you enjoyed the seaside nanamia.

The little jobs are always the ones which build up aren't they calicocat. I always have loads as I never seem to finish what I start.

I just get annoyed with eBay caitybabes. It's such a faff to put stuff on. I don't have a posh phone to do it with the app.

I need to declutter my irritation and grumpy mood today. I'm getting very wound up.:mad::mad: I know I will feel better if I do something but need a good kick in the pants to get me going.

  • Calicocat what phone do you have? If you can, see if you can download Opera browser and use that instead of the inbuilt one on your phone, it compresses the data so you use less. Also have a look at what apps you have running in the background and where possible set them up to maybe update just once a day, or switch off data when not using the phone.

Totally understand, parsniphead, eBay without the phone app is a proper faff! Hope you start feeling better soon, have you got time to do something that makes you feel better like going for a quick walk or something else? I always find fresh air is a great tonic, even in the rain!

Heading home from the wedding now, looking forward to coming home to a slightly less cluttered home than usual :) and have plans brewing for what to get rid of next!

Welcome nanamia, good luck with your decluttering. Remember it will take time do take joy in small victories :)

    Thanks for the kick nanamia.

Caitybabes the grumpiness has gone. I have been in the garden with the little one sorting and throwing rubbish and weeding. I do love being outside, it really lifts he spirits.

Hope you had a nice time in brum at the wedding. You have been near my neck of the woods.

have tidied dd's room again. sorted the lego from the sylvanian families (that she is too young for - she was given it at 3, has lost or drawn on most of the pieces and it takes forever to set up to the point where you can play with it: the john lewis shop) if it hadn't come from the outlaws I would have skipped it by now.

still got half a bag of toys into a bag for the cs. have re-grouted the bathroom floor, put the door curtain rail up in dd's room, nearly finished her rug and curtain - will take these to friends for a crafting evening tonight and finish.

washing situation is back to normal (i.e. everywhere) and all other activity is due to avoiding recalking the bath, which is stooopidly designed to pool water from the shower behind the taps, and blinking awkward to clean/caulk behind, and therefore yet again mouldy. grrr.

oooh oooh forgot to say - I have lived here 11 years, when we moved in there was a large 6 inch splodge of paint on the radiator in the bathroom (mustard yellow - nice!) that could only be seen when you sit on the loo.

    today I removed it!!!!

EVERY time I have sat on that loo I have thought "I must sort that out", for ELEVEN years!!

see how I'm avoiding sorting the bath out :)
