  • I also received an email from Daniel Silvermans claiming I owe them around £278 for something to do with Legal care? My details included a fake address so I didn't think much of it and deleted it thinking it was spam mail, until I kept receiving the emails and a "Final Demand" or something which I responded to saying I had no idea what they were on about.

After this I received no emails until today where I received a letter to my home and they are claiming to either file a court case or send bailiffs around to my property, I am a student and unable to afford this £278 debt, what should I do?
  • I´m also being pursued by these guys, recieved an email advising I´m being taken to court, now liable for their interest and court costs of 90+

    Interested in anyone elses experiences

Intend to fight this agressive company

The ONLY time bailiffs could be sent round is if a court case is heard, you either don't defend or lose the case, then ignore the judgement and fail to pay*. Only THEN could they apply to the court to appoint a bailiff with powers or recovery.

Prior to that they can only appoint Debt Collectors who have NO POWERS to enter your property or seize any goods.

    * Note: Ignoring a CCJ is never a good idea as it places a bad debt marker on your credit file.
  • i will see them in court not getting a penny out of me untill then
  • show me a signature that i signed don't think so they have brooken ever rule in the book as far as im concerned :T

You don't need to physically sign something to have agreed to a contract.

    Just saying ... ;)

I used Legalcare last year, and I never experienced a problem with them.

    I cancel via their website.

    Never had a problem since!!
  • Hi

I posted a question on this site last March, cancelled the paypal payment as has many others, however I never received an answer to my question, nor any correspondence from them until they started chasing me for the outstanding payment, I informed them that as I had not received any service from them and had cancelled my payment in line with paypal rules there was no contract, since then I have had letters, emails and phone calls chasing for the complete year £278, when I tried to log in to the account in April 2013 it had been blocked by them, so I still have no idea if they ever answered my question, I in fact paid a solicitor to resolve the original problem, I have send them emails stating why I will not pay and that I will not speak to them over the phone but they still try to call. Not sure what else I can do but sit this one out and wait for them to take me to court and hope a judge will have more sense.

I will send all details to Brighton Trading standards as I believe they are looking into this company, it is a complete con.

I did exactly the same but I won't be paying a penny
  • Hi there, I have the same problem with legal care, they are asking me to pay £278. A lot of you wrote on this forum that you will not pay a penny to them. I agree, me as well. But no one wrote the result of doing it this way. Did some one try not to pay them at all? What happened after? Did they let you be? Was some of you on the court for this? If you have an experience and if you ignored them, what was the end of this story? Let me know please, thank you.
