Sex is basically pheromones and chemistry and hormones anyway. Any bonding or emotion you feel stems from that, not the other way round.

My experience is that being in a relationship with someone is definitely not a guarantee that they are desperate to please! and being with someone you don't know very well doesn't mean they're not.

To answer the question, no I wouldn't want sex with a stranger. Not my thing. I like it when you get to know someone over time, and you learn together what each of you likes/dislikes. But that's not to say there aren't people who get their jollies from one-night stands. If they're happy doing that, so be it. Each to their own, and all that.

Not wanting to knock stranger/random sex, but can't you do all that with a long-term partner? Or, at least, I think you should be able to to. That's really what I was talking about in my last post - for me, great sex relies on both parties NOT feeling inhibited.

I agree you get to know each others likes and dislikes in relationships. but also suggest its good sometimes to revisit the approved 'menus'. Sometimes knowing what works fine for each other keeps it 'fine' or 'good' and that in itself can be a bit of a rut of contentment (or resignation because the rest is so good) rather than excitement. IMO the advantage of relationship sex is that while that kind of contentment and loving relaxed mutual satisfaction is possible and desirable in a way it's not in a shorter term situation, but by keeping things thrilling then you really can have amazing sexual experience.

If you can't do that with your long term partner something is severely wrong.

Don't get me wrong... My preference is relationship sex and I wouldn't bother with random sex again because its never been particularly... Stimulating. I am suggesting for some people it gives them the opportunity to be a little racier than you might be with a long term partner. With a LT partner you may not want to let them know that you like to be called a very bad boy by matron. Some people would be accepting of this and some won't. And if its random you wouldn't care if you can't meet their eye over breakfast
