I work full time so that we can spend on holidays. We usually have a couple of weeks abroad and a couple of UK holidays per year. This year we're only going abroad for a week as we're having renovations done on the house. However we've got a week booked in Anglesey coming up too and plenty of annual leave between this year and next to take so who knows where we'll end up!
Holidays are very important to us - I definitely work to live and am fortunate enough to be able to spend my wage on luxuries.

Holidays are a time for our family, to wind down, relax, have fun together and do the things as a family that we never normally get the time to do.

holidays to me and oh are very important. we missed a year when we bought our home so we are sensible and can go without but we love going away & i enjoy researching & planning where to go too. we are going to greece in june all inclusive and portugal self catering in sept for a cheapy. we havent got children yet so id like to go as many places as possible before we do start a family as im guessing we may not be able to afford holidays then.

I enjoy laying in the sun on a beach but not that bothered about it, there always seems to be things to do at home.
I use to go more when i was younger.

Family holidays were very important when the children were young, now I'm single/retired I enjoy weekends away with friends and to see less family-oriented places off the beaten track. I had three weekends planned for this year but mog just been diagnosed with diabetes so I have to cancel them and stay home to administer the daily injections. I'll no doubt get days out though, there are plenty of local places yet to explore. I try to see things as a stranger to the area would, we never appreciate what's on our doorstep. Hopefully next year I'll be able to go further afield again.

Not important at all to us. I have never been abroad though so maybe if I went once I would want to do it all the time! OH and I have been together for 11 years and have two children and we went away for the first time to the Isle of Man for 4 nights to visit family which was nice but I am happier at home with days out instead.

I'm not bothered, I'm another that loves being at home. I seem to spend so much time away from the house working that, when I'm not, I love to just relax and unwind.

We last went abroad about 3 years ago (and some of that is STILL probably contributing to a credit card balance mixed in with other stuff), most years we try to take a few days in a caravan using clubcard points. Last year we just stayed in a hotel for 2 nights for our anniversary.

DH and I actually didn't bother to go on our honeymoon ('twas 3 nights in Spain), the flight was at 6am in the morning and DH had drunk way too much the night before and I was tired, we sat up, decided we couldn't be bothered to schlep all the way to the airport and went back to sleep :o

    Huge and Mega for us.
But after so many trips the best ones are always the cheaper ones.
Theres nothing more fun than camping or staying in a static and spending time at the beach with some fish and chips.
We have been to Florida once and a couple of other holidays abroad but for the money it costs i would rather spend it here.
We tend to go on lots of cheap holidays to break the year up and plan for the bad weather. We always have a trip or holiday to aim for-so we just had a trip to london and we will be going on our next holiday to cornwall at the end of april. We have camping planned for the summer and then a daily mail holiday in sept.
I have the luxury of not worrying about school though as my kids are home schooled which makes things cheaper still.

I went for over twenty years without a holiday - anda couple of years back we had a holiday - and liked it so much that we try to take a week a couple of times a year. I find it a chance to chillout and relax without worrying about taking care of the kids and grandkids - and they can cope without me! I feel the need for another one soon - but we have to attend a wedding at the end of this month - which has cost us the price of a holiday! sod it - if we can afford it we will have a holiday anyway!

But that's the best part! Finding new places you want to go to around the world. You're right -you would want to!:)
