-3lbs down for me! :) I'd also like to join the challenge (and hopefully do better this time), and I'd like to be a rocket.

Hi. I am about to embark on my weight loss journey and am somewhat confused between advertised advice.
There are very low carb plans and then there are organisations like S World who seem to encourage eating as many carbs as you like? They can't both be right or am I missing the point?
    Any advice welcomed.
    Thanks

I am following a low carb diet ( I have intolerences and this suites me best) and my husband is doing slimming world.

On a low carb diet your body gets its energy from stored body fat. On a high carb diet like slimming world the body gets its energy from carbs. When on a low carb diet your metabolism goes through a change called ketosis so that your body starts to convert fat into energy.

This is a very basic explanation but I hope it helps.
