right guys ive finally decided to take the bulls by the horns so to speak.

i got weighed at the doctors today and i am disguted at myself for letting me get this big.

the scales showed 204kg (32 stone) i never thought in a million years i weighed that much.
the doctor has prescribed orlistat to help with the weight loss and wants me to see the nurse at least once a month for a weigh in so weight loss/gain will be reported monthly.
i want to at least loose a stone a month if thats possible and lose at least 5 if not 6 stone by xmas.
unless one of you lovely lot can point me in the right direction for a set of scales that can handle me lol

1 hour exercise to add from yesterday, did my longer DVD plus a few weights and sit-ups to make an hour. Found it pretty hard as I've not done it in a while but pleased to have finished it. Bit achey today and back from work late so no exercise to report so far today, maybe later but if not will definately do more tomorrow.

I weighed 6kg more than you in January, I now weigh 43kg less than you. Not only is 5-6 stone doable in 6 months, so is 8. All I've done is exercised more and eaten less (a LOT less).

These are the ones I bought, you'll lose the extra 4kg in a week or two. My first milestone was the scales not saying "Error" any more.

I bought those first, the battery life is shockingly bad and I ended up getting a refund after two weeks.

    Good luck Mcjordi :)

well done on the loss Beanielou :)

Anyone got any top tips to make me get my ar*e into gear and stop comfort eating ? I just seem to have zero willpower at the mo :o I'm annoying myself but it's not stopping me reaching into the flippin cupboards. Any suggestions gratefully received.Thinking I might have to go back to using the "my fitness app" on my phone - it's worked before just a faff having to log everything , wondering if there's anything else I can try first.

Like you I have very little willpower so I just don't have tempting stuff in the house. If I bought chocolate, biscuits and cakes, I would eat them several times a day. When I need something sweet, I have natural yoghurt with a handful of dried fruit/nuts as a treat as it's usually the only thing available to me. My husband keeps a secret stash of nice stuff for him and our daughter which he hides very well (I know cos I've searched in desperation at times :rotfl:)
