    This week gave a 4.6lb loss with 25.6km walked/jogged.

Total loss since 5th January is now 107lb, was talking to someone earlier in the week who has a friend with a gastric band fitted in January who's lost less than that. That made me feel good.

I'd like to play with the Silverstone challenge for June please, the 5lb challenge isn't for me :)

For anyone who's interested, here's January and May 2013 pictures for comparism.

Well done GDVS - I think you've got the right method of doing things as gastric bands tend to only work if people change their lifestyle and food choices - otherwise you have a much smaller stomach but if you still fill it with rubbish you won't lose so much weight.

Which Jillian program are you following?

My treadmill is an Ifit compatible one so weight loss level 2 at the moment. Not looking forward to level 3 in a few weeks.

Joint SOTW :j wow I'm so happy!

I would love to join the Glastonbury group next month please, plus I'll stick with the 5lb challenge, plus will update you about the exercise challenge once you post more details. Btw, I think perhaps my exercise score wasn't updated this week....I was 71 last week and need 7.5 hours of cycling adding please fredsnail (I'll try to remember to post in bold or colour next week - sorry) :o

    Here's to a successful week everyone :)

Sorry I missed it - I've added it in ready for the final chart :o:T

Wow GDVS you are doing really well, well done
Fred, I have decided not to join any of the challenges this month, my head just isn't in the right place at the minute. My main plan is just to focus on exercising more and cutting out the carp without thinking too much about weight - I know from many years of dieting that this is really counter productive for me.
  • Wow! That looks much more fun when putting distance into a different perspective. Can I try both please? Have already done a lap of Silverstone today, but will have to wait until Monday for the stair challenge as live in GFF, but will definitely try for that also.

Weighed myself this morning as it is start of new month and different regime, have put on 2kgs since I weighed last about a month ago, not happy, but also know it is mostly because life has overtaken me and have so many meetings in evenings recently, so not going to stress about it, hopefully, you will all give me incentive to keep on straight & narrow. Did have a boost though when someone said to me today "I have something to say about you, you have lost alot of weight!" Must be developing a shape rather than being a blob as a few have said that in the last 2 weeks.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Hi I've just found this thread and it looks great.

I want to loose about 4lb , which i know isn't much but i feel like i'm on a slippery slope with the comfort eating again :(
I worked really hard a year or so ago to loose about a stone and a half and kept it off but in the last month things have been really stressful - ongoing cr*p with my ex - separated 2 years ago but it's all still going on, and I've put 4lb on again.
I go to swimming normally twice a week and walk and do gardening etc so am pretty active with 2 kids to run around after too but it's all to easy to scoff too much and the wrong stuff.

So I'd like to start off slowly and join the EVEREST CHALLENGE please and hoping I might be able to burn some extra calories and distract myself from reaching for "treats"

TOTAL HEIGHT OF FLIGHT =8.2 FEET

should I log how many flights on a daily or weekly basis?

will add challenge to my signature :)

I'll go for the silverstone challenge please - heads been in the right place the last few days but not much exercise. Done 2 x 15 minutes of mat work (sit-ups, weights, squats etc) to ease me back in after pulling my shoulder. Was going to do my longer DVD this afternoon but not feeling too well, bad stomach ache so just 30 minutes to add so far for June - will try and do better this week.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks Jess :) I find that my motivation seems to come and go a lot more often these days :undecided The hint of sunshine seems to be spurring me on at the moment though, so fingers crossed it continues. I really hope you can get back into the right mindset soon :)

GDVS - The difference in only a few months is amazing! Well done!

Welcome to the thread Gettingtherequickly! :j

Yay, the original exercise challenge is back! Aww, I do love the Everest challenge :D Definitely going for it, it's come along at a good time for me. So....

FRED, can you please sign me up for Everest, 5 lb, and Glastonbury. If I remember rightly, my stairs are 100", I will let you know if it's any different. I might be using the wii step too but will measure that when I go on it

Feeling really in to it at the moment, so I think I'm ready to join in with the challenges again and give them a good go.... really hungover today though so will start tomorrow, :o lol.
