Good luck Debrac - hope you find something that works for you as you're obviously putting the effort in! With all those calories burned you should be losing easily, hope you figure it out.

Thanks for your support :). It's so frustrating though when I feel like I'm doing absolutely everything I can and the weight stubbornly refuses to shift. I'm much fitter now so that's the only bonus but for pure vanity's sake I want to look good too :rotfl:

I'm starting to wonder if I have an unusually slow metabolism...does anyone know if there's a way of finding out or if there's any tests that can be done by a GP? Clutching at straws I know :o

    Hey Guys,

Feeling the motivation slipping away... :( Not doing too well at the moment, but hoping that it'll turn around soon. It's been the craziest week and I've been slipping into the old habit of grabbing quick fix carp rather than cooking proper food :o - it seems to be showing too as I feel so fat and frumpy at the moment, urgh!
Next week should be a lot calmer, although it is half term, so who knows! I know that I'll get a lot more exercise in with the kiddie activities and park trips, and I think I'll also spend the weekend planning meals for the week. I find it waayyyy too dull to do on a regular basis, but think I need to work at it this week to stop me going completely off the rails. It will also be something fun to do with my boys as they both love cooking :)

Hope everyone's in a better mindset than me at the moment, lol, and that the recent glimpse of summer is spurring everyone on! :j

Hi, can I just say that I have really struggled this last couple of weeks but the support I've had from you guys on here has kept me going even though at times I felt like giving up. :)

Just keep focusing on the one thing that you want to change most or the event coming up that you want to look good at - the thought of looking happy and healthy at my daughters graduation this July keeps me going.

So as a result of hanging on in there through the last 2 weeks, today I have been weighed and have lost 2lb in the last 4 days :j.

So please keep your spirits up, you really can do it :)

This week was a three pound loss with 20km of walking and 6km of C25k walk/jog intervals. That's taken me over the hundred mark with a total loss of 102lb.

I have spent the entire day eating carp as it's Grandad's 101 birthday today so snack food aplenty.

Have no idea how many calories are in a piece of birthday cake that is 4 inches long - but half an inch of that is the butter cream topping! What the heck - it's not everyday you get to sit with someone celebrating such an age.

Good news too is that he is now much better than he was a few weeks ago as they didn't think he would last the night and he has spent most of the day eating - he had 2 breakfasts, a roast dinner and then some carp at the "party" this afternoon.:rotfl::rotfl:
