Joint SOTW :j wow I'm so happy!
I would love to join the Glastonbury group next month please, plus I'll stick with the 5lb challenge, plus will update you about the exercise challenge once you post more details. Btw, I think perhaps my exercise score wasn't updated this week....I was 71 last week and need 7.5 hours of cycling adding please fredsnail (I'll try to remember to post in bold or colour next week - sorry)
Here's to a successful week everyone0 -
I've managed to do another 2 hours 10 minutes exercise in past two days so that's to add to May's challenge total please fredsnail (together with my 7.5 hours missing from last week)
I think I've strained a calf muscle though so will have to take it easy over next couple of days0 -
Could I join please? I have already lost 3st but need to lose about the same again and life is currently overtaking me, so I need some support. I am trying to walk, mainly because I am too lazy to do anything else!, and do quite well at that. Was going to meet someone for a walk last night and took the scenic route to her house, 3 miles in 45 mins, but sadly she has more to lose than me so the next bit was quite a bit slower, but I still did 5 miles, so not too bad.
Have signed up for the Race for Life, I have no intention of running it, so should do that in 45 mins.
I have an exercise bike which I try to use, but have arthritis in one of my knees, so watching how I do that.
Other than that, look forward to some of the challenges you appear to run (pardon th epun)

Hi there! I only joined last month so I'm new too
I have to say the support you get on here is really helpful and I've discovered a competitive side to me I never even knew existed :rotfl:
Well done on your fantastic weight loss so far - that's very impressive. Fredsnail will be posting details soon on June's challenge - can't wait! :j0 -
Hi,
Just another + 57 minutes for the exercise challenge (gardening) please fredsnail. Thanks.0 -
Apologies for the late posting of this - my poor pc has been over heating and crashing so I wasn't able to post last night.
June's Exercise Challenges
Everest Climb
Everest's summit is at a height of 29,028ft.
This months climbing challenge is to climb enough steps to equal the distance from basecamp to summit (11,328 ft). To do this you measure the height of 1 step (from the floor to the top of the first step) and mulitply it by the number of steps in the flight of steps. Tell me the total height of your flight and tell me if it's at home or work (if you want to count 2 flights of different heights). Then during the month you just need to tell me you've done 2 home flights, 5 work flights and I'll log the details.
You can use aerobic steps or a Wii step if you don't have a flight of steps - however for this challenge steppers or stepping machines are not included.
British Grand Prix
Each lap of the Silverston circuit is 3.667 miles.
This months alternative challenge is to complete as many laps as you can by any means (ie walking, swimming, cycling). If you complete exercise that is not measured by distance (ie yoga, callenetics) post what you've done and how long for and I'll convert it into distance for the challenge.
Please post below which challenge you wish to do (you can do both if you want).

Oooh that looks weird - sorry everyone - at least you'll be able to spot it easily0
-
Please could you put me down for the Wimbledon Team and the Silverstone Circuit.
Weight = STS
Callanetics: 3hrs 45 min
Walking: 25 mins
Weight loss 0/2st
Inch loss = 0"

I'll do the Silverstone circuit too please (I'll never remember how many times I climb the stairs every day :rotfl:)
Good luck everyone0 -
Morning all,
I'll give both challenges a go, and join Glastonbury team if I can please.
I've measured the stairs up to my flat, and it's 17.5 ft, done 1 already this morning, and 45 minutes of zumba :-)Getting fit for 2013 - Starting weight 10.1.13 88.1kg
