Well done on SOTW Samiszel, and thanks for the chart Fred.

My bicycle outings have been mixed experiences. Sometimes they are enjoyable, or just get disinterested just after a few minutes

I cycle a lot and I always listen to music - I have it quiet enough that I can hear everything around me (including people talking at normal volume). I find it really motivating, so maybe something to consider if you don't already do this.

Don't get dispirited by the gains. Just think, if you weren't fighting against it you'd have put more on. What kind of diet plan are you following? Maybe think about changing it up if it's not working well at the moment? Keep at it though - we all have bad spells (I put a stone back on last year, but have now lost it again, and more).

Svenena - Thanks, I saw your message a few days ago. I really appreciate it. Sorry for the delay but it's given me a lot of thought as to what's going on in my "exercise and diet world". Will hopefully post again as soon as possible regarding your suggestions/queries.
  • I've pretty much tried everything from slimming world to abstinence on lighter life, so was fairly gutted when I'd 'let myself go' again.

A friend introduced me to a range of products I'd never heard of before and I've totally changed my weight and body shape having purchased these products from forever living. I was surprised at how much energy I had, how I could still eat healthily and used a lot of hairy dieters recipes. My skin was glowing, nails strong as they used to break all the time, as much as I was caught up in feeling good about myself, I dropped a dress size too!.

Have any of you tried them?

Not to sound cynical, but do you work for them? I see they are an MLM company.

I'm -1.2lbs this week, which means I am now down 40lbs in total :T I've achieved this through eating less, tracking calories via MyFitnessPal, a completely FREE website and mobile app, and the support of this very thread (thanks guys )

Sadly, I still have a long way to go. But I am past the halfway mark. I'm feeling a bit depressed today about how overweight I still am even after having lost so much. Need to keep reminding myself that the only way to start seeing real benefits is to keep at it. I'm hoping in another 10lbs (two months) I'll start seeing more of a difference.

    KEEP GOING, EVERYONE! :j

+1lb this week. Damn! I have been off work a couple of days rather ill, so not really focusing on what I've been eating. Will post my next weight on Monday, as going on hols that evening for 2 weeks. If I had tried harder, then I'd be feeling happier about wearing a bikini. Taking swimsuit instead :o

:hello: Svenena. Thanks for your idea about outdoor cycling whilst listening to motivational music. I much prefer quietness myself. What motivates me is when my bike ride has an aim e.g. acquiring groceries, foraging and essential gardening jobs at a rural churchyard. Also, the earlier the better on a weekend day (quieter).

I know that if I didn't fight it, I would cause more havoc. Nevertheless,
I often think my mind/body "wants" to be as heavy as it used to be and "fighting" is only delaying it? My diet plan is based upon managing health conditions so not a lot of flexibility in "mixing it up". Also, I set other weekly goals to see if it helps matters.

I hope you felt a bit better as the day unfolded. More weight loss for you this week! As for me, STS. Calories were about the same as last week, did two outdoor bike rides, indoor biking and gardening.

monneyspinner - no not tried these products.
