wow this is amazing and so motivational! Congrats to everyone :j:j

My fitness pal app is the best thing i have ever used for weight loss and its free. you can count calories and see if youve eaten enough good stuff really quick

It hooks in with many other fitness items including fitbit and a few couch to 5kms apps.

It's also easy to use once you've set up your regular food and meals.

It's quiet round here at the moment.

-3.4 for me this week. This is too much really - I haven't eaten enough in the past week (must be the first time I've ever said that!). I need to try and get a better balance this week. Still nice to be going in the right direction though!

EDIT: Fred, just noticed you must have missed my post at the end of Jan about joining the 5lb challenge, as it's not been included on the charts this month. Could you add me in, please? Cheers!

Good luck everyone - keep up the good work!

    Here's this weeks chart:

Congrats to our SoTW - Svenena and our SoTM Me :o:j:o:j:o:j.

Congrats to our losers and STSers - commiserations to our gainers - keep going and don't give up and you will get there. :T:T

If anyone wants to join the 5lb challenge next month please post below.

Here the chart for the Eiffel Tower challenge this month.

I'll add any further exercise until the 28th.

It takes approximately 7 hours or 271 miles to travel from Cardiff to Dublin so next months challenge is to do 7 hours of exercise, or 271 miles.

Here's the final chart for our Chocolate v Flowers team challenge this month.

Congrats to the Chocolate team who've won this month.

Next month's challenge will be daffodils v shamrocks - if you want to take part post which team you want to be in below.

Sorry guys, have been totally AWOL. Was away skiing for a week, so I think that counts for quite heavy exercise (well I was sweating after each run, big time!).

Monday I am joining a group called 'Fat Furnace' which will involve attending on Mon, Wed and Fri for 3 weeks to complete 45 minute sessions of exercise. Hoping this will give me the kick I need to take this weight loss seriously.

I think I may have put on a little weight during the holiday but I won't be weighing myself till Sat morning. Must try and be good tomorrow at least, he he :p

Hi Fred, its another STSI'm afraid.

    Callanetics: 3hrs
    Ballroom: 1hr

Bought a fitbit this week and its getting me motivated to walk around the house a bit more. Don't think I'll ever manage 10,000 steps a day!

Please could I be on the Daffodilteam, do the Cardiff to Dublin x 2 challenge and also the 5lb challenge, might as well go for the lot, this weight's got to shift sometime.

Well done on SOTM Fred :T

I'm in for the 5lb challenge again this month, please.

This week I am -3.4lbs, again. Half a stone in two weeks seems like too much, but on the other hand it sure is nice to see the scale going down. I'm expecting some rebound over the next week or two, so may see smaller losses, or even a gain.

Someone at work told me yesterday that I was looking 'trim', which is a gross exaggeration as I'm still obese, but it still put a smile on my face :)

I've met my first mini-target of the year (which means I now weigh less than my lowest weight of last summer), and the next one is around another 7lbs, at which point I will only be overweight, and not obese :o (that will be amazing).

Good luck everyone! Let's keep at it; it's so worth it

Things not going well still so I have no weight recording to report this Wednesday. Hope this is not a problem in that it is "spoiling" this thread for others.

It's no problem at all Dannie - keep trying and posting and I'll still include you in the chart as an STS until you're ready to post.:)
