Welcome catalogue queen - if Wednesday is a bad day for you to weigh you can weigh on a different day and post the result when you weigh - I do the chart on a Wednesday but weigh myself on Saturday's as that's easier for me.
Good luck :j:j0 -

Hello all!
Well, I'm back after a six month hiatus, where I majorly toppled off the wagon. I see several of you are still around, so well done guys :T
To introduce myself to the newbies, I joined the thread almost a year ago to the day. Over the following six months I lost 35lbs (2½ stone). Wow, reading that now it seems like a fantastic achievement. Unfortunately, I lost motivation and stopped dieting, stopped weighing myself. I think that second factor was the real downfall. In the intervening six months, I've put a stone back on.
But new year, new start, and all that. At least I'm starting this year a stone and a half lighter than I started last year. I moved house at the end of October, and I now have a 5.5 mile commute to work, which I cycle. This means I am getting an hour's exercise a day without even trying, and no possibility of quitting, which I hope will give me a head start this time around.
I weighed myself a week ago, but didn't start dieting until Monday, but (despite only being two days in) I'm still disappointed to discover that I've put on over a pound since last Wednesday  But I'm just not going to count that, ssh, and will start anew from this week.
My new motivation is that I broke up with my boyfriend of 4-5 years in the autumn, and I now want to try internet dating, but don't have the confidence until I'm a little lighter. My short-term goal is therefore to lose 15 pounds before my birthday in April, and then I'm gonna put myself out there.
I hope that declaring my intentions on here to try this again means I will hold myself accountable, and not quit within a week (as I have done a few times since last summer).
Fred, please count me in for the 5lb challenge this month. No need to add me to the chart this week, but I'll update next Wednesday.
Sorry for the super long post!! And good luck everyone.0 -
Hi all,
Just to say +2lbs since last Wednesday so still increasing. Unsure whether to continue this challenge, or to continue but with a new plan (but what)? Tried my best last year in so many ways...
Anyway, for now, maybe just pop me on the chart please fredsnail (+2lbs). Sorry to be brief as "out of sorts".

Welcome to everyone who is joining or rejoining the thread.
I forgot to mention that if anyone who was already on the thread wishes their weight loss to be put to 0 so that they start again in the new year please let me know and I'll update the chart accordingly.0 -
+2.5 lbs for me I'm afraid. Was actually expecting more as this is my first weigh-in since Xmas/New Year (and I did go on holiday for 6 of those days...)

2lbs off for me this week. Hooray! It's been really hard going though - on to day 3 of the detox and what I wouldn't give for a Diet Coke and some chocolate
3 hours exercise for me so far this week.
Svenena, good luck with your goals for this year, and good luck with the internet dating when you start!! A stone and a half is still great
And good luck to everyone else, here's to a great January! Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0
