  • Just realised I didn't update with Saturday's weigh in - gained 1lb! Am trying to stick to sensible eating plan this week, but just hovered up a lonely looking Angel Slice...... Must do better. Have continued with dumbbell routine but today have gone back to upper and lower body on alternate days, as finding I was starting to do every third day, using time as an excuse to not do it every other.

    Fredsnail, hope you're doing okay.

    Thanks for the chart Fred.

Please could you put me down for the SPARKLERSteam.

I see my name down for the Distance challenge but none of my exercise from last week has been recorded, did that count towards the October challenge or this one, bit confused.

    Today's Weigh In

    Weight: -1lb
    Callanetics: 1 hr 20min
    Ballroom Dancing:3hrs
    Walking: 5 min

As you posted it on 1st Nov I assumed it was for the Oct challenge - if you want me to change it to Nov challenge let me know.

Grandad's funeral is on Thursday so it's unlikely I'll be able to get online tomorrow night to do the chart as I'm still trying to get it organised (I had no idea how much work was involved in organising funerals) so I'll do the chart on Friday if that's ok with everyone.

Normal service should be resumed next week.

    Thanks

Thanks Fred, just leave it as it is, you've more important things to deal with :)

  • Sorry for going AWOL everyone. I had a little op which set me back more than I reckoned….. it took many days of lying around in PJs eating chocolate biscuits to feel better :-(

Fred, so sorry to hear about your Grandad, I hope the funeral went as well as these things can go.

I now have a stone to lose by New Year - doable, but difficult!!

STS since last week. Expected a gain in weight as ate even more but about the same exercise activities. Has anybody else also got any goals like Rubyslippers77 to achieve before 2015?

  • I was trying to lose a stone by Christmas Dannie, not sure I'll make it but need to get back to it in earnest as starting to slip.....

Thanks for your reply Caeraugirl. That's two then for the one stone target. Not sure what to do myself although I have gained 8lb this year with other health "issues" still problematic.
  • How about trying to lose the 8lb by Xmas or end of the year? Would that be achievable for you Dannie?

    Hi Caeraugirl,

Saw your post yesterday. Sorry not to reply until now but I really didn't know how to reply to your question.

Of course, at least -8lb would be breaking even and I have considered this goal. Logic, however, is that it would have to be done in the healthiest way. Are both achievable? I really don't know but thanks for your idea.
  • Good luck with whatever you decide to do Dannie.

Lost 2lb this week, so the pound I regained and another. Unlikely to reach my target of a stone by Xmas but as long as I can keep the trend downward, I'll be happy. Have played an hour of netball, done a speedy 4 mile bike ride and some dumbbells, though not religiously every other day, so my short term goal for now is to get that back on track.
