DS3 used to have this really cute friend, he was very small and had a sort of elfin face, he has shot up - still cute but in a more grown up way, IYKWIM.
Just make sure they take care of you over half-term - or would you rather not? :rotfl: Trained them all to make tea before I had some serious surgery when they were only just teenagers, and DS3 learned to use the washing machine then, but they weren't really good for much else.
Although now I think about it, DS1 had just passed his driving test, so he was chauffeur that summer if I wanted to take them out at all!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Well last chemo was done on Wednesday. Phew! Just the daily jabs to get through now.
Start back to work in 17 days. Eeeek! Just have to discuss with doc how many hours I should be doing as I don't want to do more than 4 a day really. 8.30-12.30 will suit me as I can get shopping on way home & then crash for a few hours before getting tea on for littlie.
Then rads in July when I've finished work until September. So timings all seem to be working out. My half pay is also only £200 less than normal with the addition of SSP, so budget crunching isn't too severe, thank god!!Noli nothis permittere te terere

So weird. I feel like absolute poo now. Neighbours kept me awake most of the weekend ( complaint gone into EHO as they're council as well) jabs have kicked in, all I can smell is toxic waste & my mouth tastes like the inside of a badgers arris.
BUT...... I'm sooooo happy:D I was even dancing(well hobbling) around the kitchen a minute ago. I am in such a good mood it is unbelievable!!I'll probably crash later, but am enjoying it while it lasts.
I'm sitting in the sun now, waiting for my washing to finish and then off to Argos to get a small fan for my ever hot head at night. I love the summer.Noli nothis permittere te terere

Just to update. I've been back at work since Tuesday:D
I'm a little tired, but then, who isn't on a Friday night?
Hickman is coming out next week then rads start start on July 3rd. Had my scan & tats done last week.
Unfortunately I still have to teach next year to keep my post open, but I'm only going to have 2 lessons a week so that'll bring me up to a 70% contract. My boss is being moved sideways so I'm going to apply for his job, under advice from another senior member of the management team. I don't think I have a hope in hell, but I have nothing to lose and an extra £25 thousand to gain. Lol.
After next Friday, I'm finished until the new year starts in September, apart from training week so a nice easing back into it.Noli nothis permittere te terere

It's all done! Last rads were done yesterday & I only have a few tingly bits.
I just read back my entire thread and OMG, I was such a moaning Minnie! I can't believe that's it's all over now. I started tamoxifen a few weeks ago and the side effects were horrendous. Luckily got to see my oncologist last week and he suggested the liquid version and an antidepressant (venlafaxine). I then had to argue with my gp for 20 minutes as the liquid version is more expensive. Sigh. But it's brilliant:) I'm only having a few flushes a day now and they're not as intense. My whole head felt like it was on fire before.
Holiday is booked as well. A week in Crete, all inclusive, and insurance via insure pink, at the end of August before I go back to work again.
Thank you for all your support. It was much needed and appreciated.Noli nothis permittere te terere

If anyone deserves a holiday you do. Go and enjoy your break. I hope you get the all clear asap and can put all this behind you.0 -
