No, have to wait in line like the rest, but as I had my chemo in the mornings, I'd get there pretty much just after opening, so there wasn't much of a queue.

Having said that, waiting for the bloods results to come back sometimes took a couple of hours!

Aaaw that's a shame as it was a wonderful feeling, it must just be something that happens in my area. I used to get my bloods done the day before just to make sure they were back on time.

    How you feeling today?

Oh don't put any make-up on or anything. I warn you as when I decided to put some of my lovely new moisturizer on me bald head to give me a healthy & glossy glow, I awoke next morning with giant spots on my head  I went to the Doc & he told me not to ever put anything on my face of head whilst having chemo.

We have a doorbell on our phlebotomy unit so I an do the red carpet walk - lol. I get mine done 2 days before chemo as that's when the clinic is held. Listen to all the oldies grumping about queue jumping ;)

I'm not too bad. Just achey and sore in the joints. Had my line and jabs done at the unit yesterday. Only 2 weeks until final chemo - Yeay:T

I always wear make-up in public! Have to draw on my eyebrows for one thiong, although I made a boo boo the other day and gave myself a James Bond so walked around with one raised eyebrow all day without realizing. Must have been making up at an angle in the mirror - sigh. I use Argan oil on my baldie heed and it makes it 'oh so shiny!' No spots though. I also only use organic stuff on my face to cleanse and moisturize with, so maybe that helps with the spots.

I have the dentist tomorrow, and have been told not to let them poke me with anything. Visual checks only, but I have to go as it's also the boys check ups. Eldest not impressed as he has to pay now - LOL

Neuralgia is now extended from left butt cheek down to my toes - so it's sore to stand and walk on - Pfahh! Whats a little pain after the last 6 months ;) Have to keep doing physio as my armpit keeps threatening to puff up(mastectomy) but am keeping it at bay so far. Temperature all normal and it's a pj day for me today :)

I seem to have the natters today as well. OH rang me last night and he couldn't get me off the phone. I've managed to persuade him that an October break with DS2 is a good idea, as well as a fortnight in Greece in August. What do the kiddiewinks say now? YOLO!! :rotfl::rotfl:

To be fair, we might as well spend the spare cash on hols as we're saving for deposit on a house anyway and if anything like this crops up again, I don't want to be saying;' I wish I'd gone away when I could've. Think I've turned into a live for the moment girlie now, rather than deferred gratification!

Aaaaw I'm so glad that you get to do the walk too elise, it's such an uplifting moment when times are so hard. Ask the moaners if they want to swap places with you. I could hear the mutterings before my hair went, but after it had gone I'd look them right in the eye & dare them to speak but they couldn't hold my gaze.

How often's your chemo? Mine was every 3rd week.

My make-up never stayed on. I'd do mine in the bathroom, walk (I'm in a flat) down the hall to the living room & ask him if he liked the new lipstick or whatever & it had gone

It may not happen to you but watch out for the hair dye. Mine went completely grey too, so I dyed it blonde but I only got a blonde halo as the rest stayed grey. The Oncologist said it was OK to dye, but the chemo nurses went mad.

Yeah tell the dentist about your treatment. That mouthwash that the hospital give is brilliant stuff!

I've never holidayed so much in my life! I spend all my time searching for the right one, then I'm off on my travels again :D Just watch out for the moziz, they never got me until I had chemo & now they absolutely adore me. I wouldn't have thought anything of it but I met someone else on holiday & they said it's the chemo that does it. You may be OK though.

I'm lucky I never had to have a mastectomy I had (can't think of the word) I only had the er lumpectomy & the 3 nodes removed. Although my underarm's still numb in parts, but I'm fine.

Soz I've gone off on one again, I can't stop once I start :o It's therapy for me too, thanks, I really don't mean to take over your thread. xxx

No worries. I like other peeps contributions :D

Yeah. I didn't have the mouthwash at first & I got such a sore mouth!! I take it from day 2 now & I can drink coffee(milky) all the way through. The caffeine withdrawal drove me mental.

I had 3 tumours as well, but one was huge and invasive so I had to go for the full monty. Radiotherapy starts when I go back to work but only 15 days (no weekends). My cycles every 3 weeks usually but 4 this time cos of mystery temperature.

Legs, butt & shoulders are really starting to ache now. Taking kiddies to chinese straight after dentist tomorrow when it opens, before I lock myself away for the rest of the week. My neutrophils drop after Wednesday until Monday lol, so pjs for the rest of the week.

    Thanks.

I never had the ulcers but my gums bled for ages. My husband said (I did try to return the mouthwash but they wouldn't take it back) it was great for ulcers. I know it used to numb my mouth for ages.

    Soz I meant I had 1 tumor & it was a grade 3.

I had athritis in my ankles caused by chemo, but it did go away.

    Enjoy yourselves tomoz :D

Final cycle on Wednesday!!! :D no more clinic appointments until 9th October now and rads start on 1st July so I'll be able to book my holiday on the 15th. Yeay!! Nearly all over.

I have to say, if they're still smallish at that age, you're very fortunate - with my boys, they seemed to fill the whole place very effectively!!!
