Definitely agree with Granny, becoming a granny is the best thing. I've had lots of cuddles and snuggles off my darling GD today. She was definitely a surprise last year but I would like more surprises like her.xx

Thank you all you made me smile with your comments:)

The baby is going to be a girl. After having one of each I think girls are worse than boys. DS went through a short period of being a pain in the butt when he hit 15 and discovered girls and booze but DD started her hormonal rages at 12 and 15 years later........

I am up with the lark courtesy of dog and cat playing up. Mr SA is sound asleep. Have been tempted by Top Cashback offer of £30 back for joining Weight watchers online which basically makes it free. Still pondering. 3 months would see off that pesky half a stone I want to get rid of. Mmm

Had an expensive day yesterday out with Mr SA. We were supposed to be going for a browse round local retail park. Ended up buying him a top, me two tops and then a quick drink in the local pub turned into lunch and then another drink. It was a nice day though!

Today I just want to relax and catch up with things before back to the grindstone again.

Mr SA finally got his disabled bus pass but when we tried to use it on the bus it was only for him when it should have been for him plus a carer. I definitely ticked the box that said to include carer, bearing in mind he's not capable of going out on his own. Something else to chase up! Bus driver kindly let me on for free though.

A bit of a milestone yesterday - Mr SA took dog on park across the road on his own. I watched him out of window though. He is determined to try to get back to normal as soon as possible and as he said I've got to let him at least have a go at doing things by himself.

  • Congratulations on expecting a new Granddaughter :T. Sorry you are up early but glad you had a good day yesterday.

Yay to decent bus drivers! Hope you get the pass sorted for next time.

I know how you feel 'letting' Mr SA out on his own. DH barely goes out alone but when he does my heart is in my mouth. We have a tracker on his phone so I can watch him on mine! He normally only ever goes from ours to his friends or his Mums, both of which are 5 minutes away and he texts them to say he is on way and then texts me to say he is there. It's worse than letting my 9 year old out!!

Hope you have a good day Xx

After deliberating for a few hours decided to go for the Topcashback WW offer. Now joined up for 3 months and the cashback of £30 is pending. Also through Topcashback have finally got around to buying cat/dog flea/worming stuff that I should've bought last month and toothbrush desperately needs new head but as charger is playing up decided cheaper to buy new toothbrush from Amazon. So have had a spendy but cashback day!

Mr SA been in bed most of day tired and sort of watching Top Gear between naps. At least I've been free to get on with stuff! So soup made for work lunch, ironing done, online shop done (Morrisons staff discount is 20% this Monday and Tuesday so have put in big stock up shop) and now about to sort out paperwork. Will start WW tracking tomorrow as probably gone way over points allowance already today!

Payday at last! Have paid £73 off debt to round it down to £2600 and £7.26 has gone into my VSP to make it £81.87.

Mr SA and I have been out for lunch today - I'm off work until Tuesday as I really need a break. Ideally need a holiday but a nice long weekend at home will have to suffice at the moment. Bit disappointed with local pub as normally in the week buy one get one free on meals but as you can guess with my luck offer no longer on today! Hey ho!

Something nice happened the other day and that is I got £40 in gift vouchers from work as an award for team working and also committment to my job when Mr SA was ill. To be honest going to work (and coming on here of course!) was the only thing that kept me going!

Mr SA was trying to be helpful yesterday by putting washing on the line for me out of the washing machine - except one minor detail - I hadn't washed it yet! Bless him the dirty washing was hanging on the line. He never even noticed it wasn't even wet! Nice try!

Been sort of sticking to my Weight Watchers online and I've enjoyed using the app that comes with it. It's a real eye opener tracking everything you eat and certainly makes you think twice before putting something in your mouth! The Top Cashback offer has been confirmed so I get £30 cash back for it and it only cost £29.95 so 5p up! Bargain. Must remember to cancel it though before the 3 months is up. Should've lost the half a stone I want to shed before then - SURELY!!!

  • The vouchers are very well deserved! Well done :T

Oh bless Mr SA and airing your dirty laundry :rotfl:

Hope you have a lovely weekend Xx

    Thanks Lucky and Beanie :)

Having a quiet weekend as Mr SA is very tired and sleeping a lot. Had Friday off work and also off tomorrow. Nice long weekend - much needed.

Have lost another 1lb this week - half heartedly using Weight Watchers online app - really need to meal plan using it as loads of great recipes on it but trying to use up what I've got in first before buying new stuff. What I like about it is that it really makes you think before you put something in your mouth - is it worth the points? Could do with adopting the same principle with money as have gone a bit haywire just lately!
