Big hugs. It's so hard sometimes isn't it?!
I've lost my temper a few times with Mr Lucky too. We can't be perfect all the time, don't feel bad about it, they aren't the only ones suffering.
Hope you have a better weekend XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

SA hope you are having a good weekend, it's not the same but with Mum, when she forgets or worries too much and just over complicates stuff because she doesn't remember a conversation or whatever it is SO hard to keep my temper - over Christmas I didn't keep my temper it was just too hard to be second guessed all the time and have the strain of Christmas too. I felt awful but am only human. As are you hon.

Thank you all - special thanks to Robin for your tips. We have a whiteboard at the suggestion of the OT. He forgets to look at it sometimes when he's confused. I've had some Spanish lessons but nowhere near fluent so the Spanish insurance certificate is a great idea. Although hopefully we won't need to visit the hospital. Driving lessons are on the cards maybe this is something I could do with the £200 carer's allowance I'm getting? I took my test and failed several years ago so probably just need a refresher.
Today has been ok we've been in town shopping and Mr SA got a great bargain in New Look - a t shirt, 2 hooded zip up sweatshirts and a woolly hat for £19. On the downside we went in a pub for lunch and he went to the loo and was gone ages. I ended up ringing him to see what was happening and he'd fallen over. It shook him up. When we got home he was worn out from being out and had to go to bed for a couple of hours. He said he's fed up of feeling ill and worn out. I said maybe he's having a bad day and he said every day is a bad day! When we're out I am aware of people looking at him as it's obvious he has brain damage. It's sad to think they don't realise that this time last year he was normal.
Got a letter from the council today saying I will get my £200 carer's one off.payment by 18 February. It said "to be spent on what was agreed with the social worker". Wonder if I have to keep receipts?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Forgot to say - despite all the exercise I've managed to put back on the 2lbs I lost
Not surprised really as I took my eye off the ball as I often do. Got complacent. Will dig out my old WW books tomorrow and do a meal plan. Spent too much money today really - will look at the damage on Monday when I view credit card online. Hopefully not skint myself.
Looking after DS's cat at the moment as he's off to my beloved Lanzarote on Tuesday with GF. Wish I was goingDetermined to get back there soon!

Hope you and Mr SA are OK!
Don't worry about putting on the 2lb, exercise can do that to you can't it?! I'm sure you will start to see a difference soon.
Hope you manage to get back to Lanzarote soon too, some sunshine would do you both the world of good I bet!

Hi all! Yes i'm fine just very busy at work and at home. Have been reading and posting on other people's diaries but not my own.
Nothing much to report really, everything ticking along ok with Mr SA, although he's fed up of having a carer and thinks he'd get more done around the house without him. To be honest I think the carer's hours could be cut down now Mr SA is beginning to realise what he can and can't do. He's had another session at the neuro rehab and they are working on his concentration and balance which are not good to say the least!
Re the 7 minute workout app I've got - when I read the small print it says it's best to repeat the workout 2-3 times! Thought it was too good to be true. And it was a lot of faff getting changed into gym gear for just 7 minutes. However, 7 minutes is better than 0 minutes! I've relaxed a bit this week with the exercise after work and the Fly Lady-ing as it was making me too stressed at the end of the day. I'm really busy at work and although I'm desk-based I'm forever up and down, I walk to and from work and go for a walk at lunchtime. Then when I have to feed the animals, get Mr SA in the shower, cook, do the daily housework, etc and finding all this extra time has been a strain. I found myself getting wound up! So this week has been a lot more relaxed and I feel better for it. Did the workout app twice through on Monday and might do it again tonight.
Weather is beautiful and sunny here today but very cold. The calm before the storm? DS is having very warm weather in Lanzarote - he keeps texting me as he's relaxing by the pool (bless him!).
Had my first ever Morrisons online delivery last night and I can't fault it (so far). Arrived on time (early in fact), no substitutions, nothing missing and best of all 10% staff discount courtesy of DD! Plus 10% cashback from my bank! Bargain!
Tomorrow I'll be looking at my finances and hopefully pay a bit off the debt and there'll be something going into the VSP. Not skint yet and just 2 weeks to payday!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Valentine's Day and got a lovely card from Mr SA and a lovely bunch of roses.
Been sorting out my finances and today have paid £35 off the debt so now down to £2700. £5.22 has gone in my VSP which now has £64.20 in it. Doing ok.
Have a lovely day everyone!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hey SA
Not sure what you agreed to spend money on with social worker, but driving lessons sounds like a winner to me! :T
How lovely you got some roses & a cardglad to see the romance is still there! I'm jealous of your DS too I'd love to be sunning it up in lanzarote right now, instead of watching about floods on t.v every 5 minutes
