    Thank you all

I'm booking a day off work a week on Friday and possibly the following Monday to give myself a long weekend. I need a break. Ideally I need a holiday away from it all but that's not on the cards until April as I need to save up first! Mr SA comes out with some gems at times - one is regarding a holiday - just pay for it on the credit card he said, I might not be here in a few months time. Oh cheers Mr SA leave me paying it off after you've gone. The second one was last night - he said to DS - we'll help you out all you can (with the baby). I can almost hear the elastic ping on my wages!

DS has returned from Lanzarote with a nice tan. Every day was hot apart from one. He and his OH find out whether baby is boy or girl today. Hope he made the most of his holiday, it'll be the last one for quite a while!

I have made a purchase with the carer's allowance. I had in my mind I'd like to replace the blaok leather jacket I threw out a while ago as it was past its best. Saw a lovely fake leather one in Wallis yesterday with 30% off, my size and petite fitting so the arms aren't too long. I think it's important that "leather" jackets fit properly or they wear you. Got it for £40 after discount. Even Mr SA likes it. Feel a bit weird I've "broken into" the £200 but am very happy with my purchase as I could've paid a lot more.

Still not heard from DS whether the baby is pink or blue. Don't mind which as still can't get my head round being a granny.

On the finance front I've paid another £27 off debt which incidentally is 1% of what's left to pay off so now standing at £2673 and have paid £7.41 into VSP which now has £74.61 in it.

Mr SA tried to be helpful yesterday by getting in my washing when it started raining - a nice thought but he left the basket of dry washing outside in the rain. Bless him!

    Have a lovely weekend all!

Being a Granny is one of the best things in the world and being a young Granny means you are able to run around with them and fully enjoy them

Well done on the debt reduction

  • Lol at Mr SA leaving the washing out, at least his heart was in the right place :)

I made my mum and dad grandparents at 40  they were happy enough once ds1 arrived but think it was a bit of a shock to begin with ;) my nan was made a great gran at 59 by me too she was ecstatic though as it meant she was still fit and healthy to enjoy him :)

I told my DS's when I was 48ish that I didn't want to be a granny before I was 50. My youngests riposte was "how do you know you aren't already?" He was 15!!!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
