have you thought of getting an sos bracelet or necklace for Mr SA just in case something happens when he's out and then at least anyone who finds him can call you.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500

Thanks Buffy and great idea scaredy cat. Mr SA has assessment next week re whether he still needs carer - at my request as he keeps going on about how he doesn't need one anymore and he wants to move on with his life. He is fed up of carer always being there so I rang local council hence visit by assessor. The lady I spoke to said if Mr SA is adamant he doesn't want a carer then as long as he isn't a danger to other people then they have to respect his wishes. I think they've got to at least try him on his own. They initially said carer was only for 6-9 weeks. Maybe this is where the SOS bracelet could come in?
Oh what a lovely feeling knowing there's no work tomorrow!!! Feet up + glass of wine = bliss!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Hello all - I had a great few days off, although expensive as we went out to eat a couple of times and Mr SA managed to cadge a new coat and t shirt from me! Back to reality now for a few days but I've got Friday afternoon off for lunch with friends and the following Tuesday I'm off work all day but out at the hairdressers and basically having a day off from Mr SA having a mooch around town. I don't get a lot of "me time" as I'm really busy at work then I get home and it all starts again so a day to myself is much-needed.
Today I'm trying to take a few minutes to look at my finances and set up some budgets for the coming month.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorting out my finances today and have paid £8.00 into my VSP and £10 off the debt. So VSP is £89.87 and debt is £2590.00. One going up one doing down
Care assessment was cancelled yesterday. Apparently the team has been disbanded due to council cutbacks and the person who was meant to be coming out has been made redundant. She has left the case in "the in tray" to be hopefully picked up by someone else. Mr SA not happy about this so have let him have a day off from the carer today to see how he goes. Fingers crossed!
Not got much planned for this weekend. Hoping that the weather is as good as predicted!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
But they weren't made redundant overnight surely!!!!
Words fail me TBH.
Mind you maybe best Mr SL continues with carer meantime.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
