Can anyone confirm please that all sim only contracts aren't affected as the Orange website states the following, is this saying that 12 month sim only contracts will get the rise? Thank you
who will be affected?
Consumer pay monthly customers who joined Orange prior to 1 February 2013 will see an increase in the cost of their monthly plan by 3.3% from 10 April 2013. Customers on our 30 day SIM Only, Mobile Broadband, The Works and our latest Animal consumer plans (introduced 1 February 2013) will not be affected.0 -

I got the letter for my 12 month sim only0 -
I got the letter from Orange about the price rise, phoned to query because the letter was quoting the full price without my discount.
Cut a long story short, was offered a better package to see out the contract. So now will be paying £7 a month less than I am now.
Will re-evaluate whether a contract is the best option when the renewal date comes up.
Got the same letter myself yesterday, must try what you did see if I can get my bill reduced as I am only 3 months into my contract I'll not hold out much hope0 -

So i called Orange up and said I wasn't happy about the increase in charges so the CS adviser says ok I'll move you to a different tariff but you'll continue to pay £26 for the remainder of the contract. So my existing bundle of 200mins, unlimited texts and 750mb has been altered to be unlimited calls/texts & 750mb. Happy enough as the OH has a nice habit of picking my phone up to call her family every 5 mins0 -
I'm 6 months into a 24 month iPhone Extra 41 contract at £41 a month, and have just also received the dreaded price increase letter taking it to £42.32 a month.
I've given Orange a call to complain (150) and was told it didn't effect me and that the were sorry I had received the letter by mistake. I pushed a bit further (politely) and as well as having unlimited texts and minutes was offered 3Gb per month of data instead of 2Gb.
Now I never use more than 0.5Gb of data, and perhaps 100mins and 50 texts a month, so said that really I would like to reduce the monthly payment instead of increase the allowances. They cam back with still unlimited text and minutes, but reduced data to 1Gb per month, and the monthly payments to £36 a month from £41 - so was well worth the call to get a bit more money dropped from the contract payments0
