morning everyone
jcr hope your poor DS is feeling much better. Its such a worry when their temperature spikes like that. I hope you feel better now too.
jamiedodger and queenie I have seen Goji berries in my local supermarkets but they are horrendously expensive. The effects would have to be instantaneous for me to even consider spending such a large amount on a small pack of berries. How much did you pay JD?
jet77 glad your date went well. Sounds like a real gentleman.
scuzz you'll just have to trust your own instincts with your bf. I hope it all works out for you.
Good luck to all those mini OSers who have SATs or exams looming. My DS did his science SAT yesterday. Was so nervous that he left out around 9 questions on the first paper but settled down well after that and finished the rest of the papers. He has maths today. Not his strongest subject so I'm praying quietly for him.
Ooooh almost forgot, Happy Birthday MSE Martin!
W**k today - think its going to be a day of tidying up lots of files rather than tackling large projects - I think I need a day like that today. I'm feeling off colour but can't say exactly what's wrong with me.
I'm determined not to visit the supermarket this week so lunch today is egg mayonnaise on brown bread (not keen on it but I don't have any fresh meat).
Dinner will be a hotch potch as I'm trying to use up all the stuff in the freezer.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. x"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Not going to chatter as today is going to be such a productive day for housework. I also need to go into town and get some stuff sorted.

Morning all
Happy Birthday Martin
Not feeling very well today, woke up feeling all achey and with a really sore throat. I've just had a look in the mirror and it is all red and sore looking, so I feel really sorry for myself now.
Going to try to do almost nothing today and just spend as much time as poss in front of the telly, wallowing in self-pity
Got a peadiatric review for DS4 this morning, and gathering up and taking books back to the library this PM, other than that its a quiet day today.
Hope everyone has a good day - hugs to those who need/want them.0 -
Happy birthday to Martin.
Hi everyone. We have a grey day here today.
Not much on today really. Well, as far as I know there isn't lol. Day still young though, so lots can happen :-)
I have the schooling to do.
Tonight I'm cooking a pasta bake for dinner. Using up some stuff hanging around in the freezer. While the cheese is melting, I'm going to cook a sponge cake in the oven at the same time. The weekend baking session is nearly all gone lol.
I have a prayer meeting to go to tonight :-)
That's my day so far.
Everyone have a blessed and good day day today.
Hugs for anyone who needs them.0 -
Morning everyone:hello:
Well feeling better today must have been a 24 hour bug (or alergic to night shift)
Goin to bed in a while as have been on night shift then need to be up early, to sort out some paperwork and clean bathroom and change beds. OH has swept and cleaned floors already so one less job to be done
Breadmaker given to me doesn't seem to work, made dough but not bread, will try a different setting then might have to chuck it out.. will def be getting a new one though, has made me realise how much I enjoyed my last breadmaker until it broke.
Not so os emailed a company we booked holiday with to see if they had received payment sent via online banking on 20th April and they are claiming not to have recived it so I am panicking a bit now. Will check emails later then will have to phone them I think
Scuzz everyone said that about my OH, it took a while but he is lovely now.
(((hugs to anyone that needs them)))
Bye for now0 -

Happy birthday Martin
Jet - Your date sounded lovely - hope it all goes well for you.
Queenie - Next time you're up so early you can pop round and make chocolate pizza here - we won't mind....really!!!
Been sitting here watching all the birds in the garden this morning - some serious worm catching going on out there now the grounds softened up with a bit of rain.....one little starling is nearly falling over backwards trying to pull the longer worms out.
DD1 is home with a head cold - she's been up most of the night so I've sent her back to bed with a heated wheat bag and a cup of tea....her SATS start next week so she should be feeling much better by then.
Pleased to report that so far so good on the Paul Mckenna book and CD, I couldn't finish my lunch or tea last night, this mornings breakfast took over half an hour to eat and I left 1/4 of it, was feeling far to full. I was even too full for a glass of wine last night
Going to change my bed in a bit and deal with the clutter that's under the bed. I'm not sure where it all comes from but it's time it was sorted and moved on.
Sent off for my free haircut today, won't get chance to get out for a walk with DD home but will make the effort to do some "stepping" on the machine and an hours gardening if it stays dry.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Our 'new cot' is coming on nicely. Its an old one (use to be mine) and we're doing it up for our little one. She's getting too big for her moses basket and this is our chance to shift her. We've sanded it down, given it one coat of paint....just need to give it another as it looks a bit dodgy. Then (if it looks alright) we will add a few stickers and get a new matress for it.
I just hope its going to come out okay.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0
