I think isa transfer requests must be made within 14 days
I took over 3 weeks to send my transfer form in and the money is now in my Santander account. Think it is only if you are depositing money that the 14 days thing comes into play.

are you saying you didn't send in your transfer form until over 3 weeks after you opened the account?

Or are you saying that it took over 3 weeks from you sending the transfer form before the money showed in your account?

not so. as per all the published materials, new money can be deposited up to and including 30 May 2013, regardless of when you opened the ISA.

It took me 3 weeks and 2 days to send the transfer form back as I wanted to make sure online banking was set up first. It then took a further week for the funds to be available.

I've just re-read my original email and 14 days isn't mentioned at all - I have the 2.5% ISA though so apologies if you're all talking about the fixed rate.

I haven't seen anything about the 14 days either in the T&C and speaking to someone in a branch said they wouldn't have an issue transferring my existing ISA with them late May.
  • If you're a existing Santander customer, and you already bank online and have an online banking ID.
When you've opened a new account have they sent you new online banking details and a new online ID?

I have received new online banking details, but I was a bit confused as I already bank with them online, and was wondering why I've received new details?

So have anyone had the same??

No, not had that, I switched my ISA to new 123 and added a credit card to my existing accounts and they changed on line whist still on phone!

    Well that went quite well

Opened 22nd March, posted transfer form 2nd April, added new money 6th April, old ISA matured 11th April and credited to 123 ISA 19th April

All seemed to go through quite smoothly, top marks to Santander
