    Evening everyone.

Victory I'm glad to see you're being so proactive about your self image problems.... you're experience in the supermarket just shows how much better you're treated when you start to treat yourself with respect too....:p to the school gate mafia (I'm still a few years away from that experience thank goodness but my work is like a fashion show most days).

Welcome onto the wagon newbies and well done Tallgirl for sticking to your guns where wine is concerned. I have a 3ltr box (I know !) of rose in my fridge and just take one glass every now and again. I would never finish a full bottle on my own and wouldn't drink wine 2 nights in a row (it affects my IBS). ... having said that, if it were bacardi!!:rotfl:

I'm doing quite well with getting to the gym so far. I've been on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, yesterday and I've asked MIL to keep DS so I can go tomorrow morning too....:A But I'm not doing so well with the eating thing. I just can't seem to get a handle on breaking bad habits and counting cals etc... (I've had a really hungry week this week)..... HELP!

I've been trying to follow the WW points system and have 1 or 2 good days a week but the rest of the time I only count points up until about 8 and then forget about it. I have all the will in the world to succeed but just can't maintain my focus.

Right I'm off to give myself a good talking to.... Day 1 (again) tomorrow.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.
  • I am trying the cal counting but don't seem to be getting very far. Would love to know how every one else is doing it. I do try and weigh everything and write it down when I eat it and be honest but still only lossing 1/2 lbs each week. Any advise would be great
    Thanks

Funnily enough my mum bought me one that I really wanted a couple of weeks ago & I love it so much.
Im just past the taking it to bed stage!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh! Beanie I can quite believe it, it's those dogs they are so cute. Did you take the doggy tag off? DD says you're supposed to but I could never do that (and I bet she won't either :D)

    Hi js

I do exactly the same, so it seems to me that perhaps you need to reduce the amount of calories that you allow yourself each day. Try this calorie calculator to see how it compares with the amount that you're currently allowing yourself. I hope this helps for a start...

...delly I hope that can help you as well. Regarding the bad habits - for me it's been a case of mind over matter; when I've not done the bad something once, I feel so good about it that I don't want to spoil it by doing the bad something again - (does that read right?) for example, on the few occasions that I've been for a pub meal since January, I've only had sparkling water instead of wine, it was very hard the first time but has got easier subsequently because I taste the food rather than the wine. It's a case of eventually replacing the bad habit with one that isn't so bad. Good luck! :D

Thanks petrichor for the advice. I've been going round in circles between being so desperate to lose weigh now and complete apathy when I'm presented with goodies.

OH organised a night out on friday night with another couple and I really didn't want to go. (knew I'd drink too much and end up eating a greasy take away) I had planned to drive but was handed a bacardi and diet coke:beer: as I was getting ready so ended up... yes you guessed it, drinking too much and eating a greasy takeaway:whistle: . I have to admit it wasn't a bad night out but it wouldn't have been any worse if I had been drinking sparkling water all night. And of course, the day after is usually a complete write off _pale_ - although my hangover cure is soup and a cheese sandwich.!

I'm going to watch what I'm eating today but not follow any specific plan. Tonight I'm going to dig out my SW books and look over them. I'm not having much success with WW at the minute and there's more free food on SW (allowing for my hungry days!). Hope you guys don't mind if I start asking you for the syn value of certain things.

    Thanks for listening.

hi guys thought i would update how i have been lately. Went in for my op on the 7th June (sterization) ended up staying the night at hospital. Was doing ok until I was gettign alot of pain one side from last weds onwards. Went to see doctor Friday morning and he has put me on antibiotics as he says there may be an infection. GREAT!!

Friday night was awful, cried with the pain. Spent most of Saturday horizontal and resting. (pain is bad when standing)

Hi folks, though I would join you. I am joining weight watchers tomorrow with my friend. We are fed up of being fat!! I've had two children in the past two years and it's taken it's toll on my poor body. Time to get rid of the jelly belly!
